After experiencing an incredibly rude interaction by the owners of the nearby Smokey’s place, I decided to walk over to the Truckee Food Shop and grab a roasted half chicken with vegetables and Caesar salad. The owner was probably the most pleasant person I’ve dealt with in a very long time. And the food was great! Ordered the fried chicken, fish and chips and shrimp ceviche. Everything tasted delicious. Also asked for a small side of butter and he gave me a whole stick. Great service and food!

Best fried chicken in town by far. I got some guacamole and chips here once and it was the best i'd ever had. I had never had gazpacho before, theirs was so delicious. Hard to go wrong!
