Amazing place, super delicious chocolate, excellent staff

Too good to be passed up; went here w my sister and we sampled the fudge and turned to each other gobsmacked dude the sweets here are AWESOME; the worker who checked me out was really friendly too I felt like a kid again; beautiful place.

Try to order 3 caramel apples and 2 pieces of candy and wanted to charge 34.00 dollars for shipping. That is crazy.

Two pieces of candy, good and plenty and tootsie roll $13… also, a friend of mine got a coffee cup that said Truckee California on it, and when he washed it, all the writing came off🙃

Candy apple coated with chewy caramel with fragrant dark chocolate and sea salt. Love the caramel, so maybe the original flavour candy apple ($8.95) will do. Rather pricey, this was for $14.95.

We take a trip to Truckee every year with my dad and we always have to stop by to grab some of their house made fudge. The employees are so nice even on busy weekends it’s always worth the stop in. They have good hard candies and truffles too! If you get lucky you can watch the employees fold fudge from the window.

It was alright but I’m extremely pissed and disappointed because I bought two things (along with chocolate) but they didn’t even give the two things other than the chocolate! Which pisses me off because it’s literally your job to put it in I didn’t notice because I was in a rush to go ofc I only got out when they finished putting the things in the bag! And I can’t go back because I’ve already driven home which is 2 hours away not even in truckee I’m just so upset because it was a lot of money . It’s a part of their jobs to finish and making sure to pack up all the goods into the bag. They didn’t even try and yell at me to come get it back

All of the negative reviews seem like they're from whiney covid-denying freaks who need a safe space to cough on the chocolate? Lol. It was a totally normal shopping experience for me and the chocolate was very creative and tasty.

Overpriced for the quality of chocolate. Can’t recommend it.

Nice boutique candy shop in historic downtown Truckee. Plenty of handmade candies and other dessert items to choose from. A lot of first timers asking questions, so sometimes service can be slow (not because of the staff). Parking on the weekends can be a challenge.

Nice spot to pick up some sweet goods, they got a lot of options. We got some small things for the kids & tried the kalua & caramel truffle. Both were good.

Chocolates are good. Me and my family come here every year when we visit. Unfortunately today, we had a horrible experience with this man who works here.. Who literally yell at me to back off while looking at some of the chocolates in the shelf by the line. I am a 43 year old man and do not appreciate been talked to as a child, specifically when I was doing much more then waiting in the long line and looking at different packages of chocolates to buy. We just left and we will not
return again, as all it takes is one horrible experience as this one to ruin a place.
After realized how many negative reviews they had about the same subject. I went back to the store to try to have an educative and constructive conversation with the manager, who basically told me the guy was right and wrong at same time. And probably didn’t realize he was yelling. And that they see about 1000 people per day and are doing the best they can. I told him it wasn’t enough. Three need to speak with customers politely. I would love to speak with the owner of this store. Because I have never been so rudely treated before. And wouldn’t hate for anyone else to experience that!

hot chocolate was delicious

Horrible place. Racist owner. Staff is friendly but this man has no sense of customer service. Should put a sign up that says white only with the type of treatment we got. Worst experience ever! Never again will he have any of our business.

I don’t like leaving negative reviews, but the moment you walk in you are greeted in such a negative way. The guy wouldn’t let me walk a few feet to look at the fudge. He told me I can look at the photos on the wall. I’m sorry but you are selling a food product I don’t want to look at old photos on the wall. They act like it’s still 2020 even though it’s almost 2025. I hope they make changes soon because so many people complain about the same thing. It’s a sweet store. Make it fun and inviting.
