Best restaurant in Truckee! Great food and even better cocktails.
Don't let the casual name fool you—Truckee Tavern and Grill completely blew us away. I walked in thinking it was just another local grill, but the food is absolute high-end restaurant quality. Every single dish was incredibly fresh, exceptionally tasty, and the flavors were perfectly paired together.

Guests can enjoy a great meal, with highlights including beef meatballs loved by kids, a well-cooked pork chop, and tasty grilled bread. The restaurant also features a porch where visitors can sit and enjoy the beautiful weather, and the inside has a cool vibe. Recent visitors praised the mushroom tortelli for being savory yet light, and the Old Fashioned drinks prepared by the bartender as incredible. Sean at the bar is known for making the best martinis in town, especially with house-made blue cheese stuffed olives that pair well with Tallow Fries.
