This place was a real treat. It is a popular spot amongst the locals, so it can get a little busy and a little loud but that is the worst thing I can say about this place. The servers were friendly and attentive. The prices were reasonable, especially considering the HUGE portion sizes. My partner and I each got a sandwich from the menu and decided against getting any appetizers, which thank goodness we did! Those two sandwiches could have fed 3 or 4 people! I got the steak dip which was umami heaven and my partner got the pomegranate chicken sandwich which was flavorful, juicy, and a little bit different (in the best possible way).We ended up coming back the next day and getting just a couple appetizers for lunch. These were also huge and delicious. The pretzel bites were piping hot, soft and pillowy things of beauty, especially dipped in the beer cheese sauce. Best food, better service. Thais is a place I feel at home and always welcome. Honestly some of the best cocktails in all of Truckee and they have a generator for the cold days when the power goes out!
Came here for dinner New Year's Eve, a cute little pub next to Donner Lake. Great ambiance, servers were nice, and food was amazing. Food came out quickly too. Highly recommend the fried shrimp! Not over breaded like most places. Enjoyed the Caesar salad, artichoke dip, Wagyu burger, and Mac and cheese as well. Will definitely be coming back!

Stopped by Donner Lake pub around Xmas time. It was an off day so we had the place to ourselves. Cannot rave enough about this place. My daughter had fish and chips, me the clam chowder. It was full of clams in shell and very delicious. The fish was perfect and fries a super fun cut, very crispy. Our drinks were also wonderful. Do yourself a favor and stop by this secret gem. I'm sure its crazy in the summer but perfect a winter lunch also .

Tried it twice recently. Mediocre, over-priced food and beer. Burger was greasy and caused me stomach issues. Unless you are 'known,' you'll wait to be served, and then it seems reluctantly. The regular young crowd seems to be happy enough, but probably because there is no competition nearly.
