Truckee Cookies is a take-away cookie spot in Truckee that bakes cookies fresh to order. The cookies arrive warm, gooey, and straight-out-of-the-oven. Customers order online or through a QR code on the window, and the cookies are brought out to the car in a pizza box. There is no seating, but that adds to the charm—the freshly baked goodness can be enjoyed in a car, at home, or under the stars.
The owners are warm, welcoming, and clearly passionate about baking, and the customer service is outstanding. The place is open late for late-night cravings and offers online orders and local delivery. A promo issue was resolved quickly, and the discount was honored and then some.
The cookies are delicious and made with care. Favorites include Classic Chocolate Chip, Dark Chocolate with Almonds, Candy in the Cookie Jar, Zac’s Birthday, and Salted Dark Chocolate Walnut. The cookies are the perfect portion, though some would love them a bit bigger. Orders on site take no more than 15 minutes, and there is a discount for ordering more.
