“Name changed from “Jonny’s” to El Baho Fino”. Also some of the attached photos form previous reviews is from a place across the street from this restaurant (showing a redwood tree and building)
I stopped by this taco shop and ordered four tacos—two asada and two al pastor. The asada tacos were solid, with flavorful meat topped with fresh onions, cilantro, and green salsa. They had a nice char, though they were a bit oily. Still, I enjoyed them overall.
The al pastor tacos were disappointing—the meat was dry, bland, and notably missing pineapple, which is usually a key ingredient in traditional al pastor. Like the asada, they were topped with onion, cilantro, and salsa, but just didn’t hit the mark flavor-wise.
The tortillas had a decent chew, but didn’t seem homemade—they were very uniform, which made them feel store-bought. The plate came with grilled onions, radish slices, and limes, which were a nice touch. I wished I could have gotten a grilled jalapeño—I saw them in other reviews and was hoping it came standard, but no luck this time.
Pricing was a bit steep at $16 for four tacos, with no sides or drinks included. Definitely more in line with L.A. taco stand pricing, which feels high for what was offered. That said, they do have Taco Wednesdays for $2/taco, which seems like a much better value and may be the best day to go.
The guy wearing a blue car wash polo who took my order and made the food was incredibly kind and welcoming. He was fast, attentive, and seemed to take pride in his work, which made the experience more enjoyable.
Seating is limited to three small outdoor tables near the ordering window, shaded by a tree. It’s a casual setup, but it can get a bit loud due to nearby street traffic.
Overall, a mixed experience: friendly service and decent asada, but the al pastor and pricing didn’t live up to expectations. I might return on a Wednesday to give it another shot—hopefully with a grilled jalapeño next time.“

“Got here at 9:30am and there were already 4-5 big tables having margaritas and beer. Well, then I will join too! Joanna was our server, and she was awesome. She and her counterparts were very attention. If I just glanced their way for a second, one of them would come over to ask if I needed anything.
Food is really good, reasonably priced and good fresh quality.
Parking looked easy, although we walked over from a nearby hotel. I think I had a mango or peach margarita, and it was GOOD.
Would definitely come back again.“

“A wonderfully delicious, authentic big time, a fantastic menu with many things I've had from the carne asada, camerones, snapper, fajitas, fish tacos either fried or grilled, amazing chili relleno, enchiladas and much more.
A sweet, caring, loving, very friendly family owns and runs. It's awesome.“

“Authentic food, delicious and great prices. You order at the back counter, choose a table, and they bring the food to your table. Outside dining is available. The decor is simple, but pleasant. The restaurant is clean and roomy. It is one of our favorite places to eat.“

“Great food, great service every time!“
“I travel to Ukiah for work on a regular basis, have tried the food up and down the city and area. This spot has DELICIOUS tacos. I put a lot of weight on rice and beans and theirs is some of the best I've had, near par with el paso/border town Texas.VERY unassuming looking food truck with a very confusing name.A mandatory stop for me on every trip here.“
“Eddie's is a wonderful comfort food place. Like every other restaurant in California, they are only offering take-away (or doordash) during our shelter-in-place interlude. They are being very careful to make sure that take-out customers do not overlap and contact is minimal. And, as always, the traditional Mexican cuisine was excellent. We are big fans of the chiles rellenos!! yum, yum. Thank you for being there for us.“

“Just out boppin around with Hobo John and his little bed roll, OneEyed Mary, and she blasts out something about this joint called Lalo's and how good the chicken tacos are. Well, I can never just walk by a Mexican restaurant or taco truck without at least trying 3 tacos! I see it as a civic responsibility to help the small family owned businesses succeed.
And you know what...OneEyed Mary was right..those chicken tacos were Amazing! 5 stars ☆☆☆☆☆“

“Ukiah has a lot of options for Mexican food—nothing stellar. So I thought what the heck let’s try this cute clean spot by the post office. I had a busy day and had to grab lunch on the go. We were completely blown away by the service and food. Amazing food—-the real deal Mexican. Great hospitality-the owner was so kind!! We will be back Mary. Muchas gracias. Highly recommend the burritos and the tacos !!“
