“This is hands-down the best coffee shop in town! They roast their own beans in-house, which you can truly taste in the quality and depth of their brews. I haven’t tried much of the menu yet, but the nitro cold brew is phenomenal—smooth with a rich hazelnut flavor and a clean finish. I especially appreciate that they serve it without ice, which keeps the flavor intact (unlike other places that water it down).

The prices are reasonable, especially considering the quality. I also tried the chocolate chip cookie, which was $4—but honestly worth every penny. It was fresh, soft, and generously sized.

The shop itself has a welcoming, cozy vibe with plenty of indoor seating—perfect for conversation, studying, or working on a laptop (free Wi-Fi included). It’s also proudly a safe LGBTQ+ space, which makes it even more inviting and inclusive.

There’s also some outdoor seating for people-watching, and about seven parking spots in the lot plus street parking right out front, which is super convenient. My only gripe is that it can get a little messy. I wiped down my own table and there was food on the floor.

If you’re looking for great coffee, a comfortable atmosphere, and good vibes, this place is a gem. I’ll definitely be back to try more!“

“This is a place for the good old boys to sit back watch a game and throw back a pint or 5. It has a friendly atmosphere, games, live bands, and even a "movie theater" to watch sports with your buddies, or wives. This place also sells your common bar grub. This is a great place to hangout with your friends and spend the day! If your in ukiah put it on your list of places to visit, you won't be disappointed.“

Hector's Snow Cones Stop Mexican • $
901 S State St, Ukiah

“I’m so obsessed with these snow cones that I’ll come up with any excuse to go to Costco in Ukiah, an hour from home, just so I can grab one. I order the exact same flavor every time. At this point, I’ve had enough of them to say with absolute certainty: when the older man makes it, it’s the best snow cone on earth. Perfect texture. Perky. Icy. Heaven.

But when the younger woman makes it, it turns out like snow cone soup. Very wet, no structure, just… wet slush. I’m assuming the snow all comes from the same machine, so I have no idea how his are so firm and refreshing while hers are so soupy.

The flavor’s great either way, so it’s still a treat, but for me it really throws the whole texture off and I’m bummed. Usually I go alone, so it’s not a big deal if it’s a “meh” day. But one time I hyped these up like crazy and brought my teenager along. She handed us two cups of soup, and I had to convince him I wasn’t lying about how amazing they usually are.

Still obsessed. Just hoping I catch the right snow cone artist next time.“

Those were TO DIE FOR. They were SOOOOO good. Hopefully they’ll have them again one day, but everything else we’ve had when we were there was great. I recommend it.“

Testa Vineyards Winery •
6400 N State St, Calpella - 6 miles

“We had a wonderful stay at Testa Vineyards and will definitely be back!! The hosts were extremely friendly, the views from the campsites were very pretty and the wine was great!!

It is very easy to get into and big rig friendly we have a 45.5ft fifth wheel which is 62ft with truck and had no problem getting to the site. Just dont make the mistake I made if you have a large RV or Fifth Wheel like we do I would recommend driving all the way past the Coffee Shop and the grass lawn and enter from the gravel road NOT up the first turning directly once you go past the coffee shop as there is a dip and our RV bottomed out. I definitely underestimated the dip so dont make my mistake. It is very easy to get into if you dont go up the dip and just go around.

We did the Wine Tasting and all of the wines were fantastic so we bought a bottle (or 4 😳😬)! They even have a Coro Mendocino which we learned is a high honor in the Mendocino area to obtain the Coro name.

We arrived and checked in at the coffee shop and the people were super friendly, they explained where to go and we quickly signed a waiver. They even told us about an event they had that night called wine and wheels so you could see some classic cars and drink wine at the same time. The next day they had a mothers day market too which was very nice to walk around.

The vineyards themselves are very pretty abd we walked around them, we saw the animals (pigs, chickens, dogs, horses) and we made friends with one of the dogs who came to out RV all the time to check in on us I think her name is Penny.

It is very family friendly too, our kids made friends with the kids of the owners so were riding around on the golf cart with them touring the property they had the best time and eveb got to helo collect some eggs. My kids still talk about it.

Overall a stay to remember for alk of the family and we cant wait to drink the wines we bought and remember our stay!!

Thanks so much for the great hospitality!!“
