“Quick walking distance from Union city bart! I was greeted by both workers as soon as I walked in! I ordered the iced caramel macchiato and an everything bagel. Great coffee and food for great prices. I am super impressed by the customer service. The seating is also spacious. Sometimes I dont like taking zoom meetings from cafes but this is a good space to do that. You can be spread out from people if you please. Super amazing small business! Go support!“

“Best juices and shots ever you can see live they make fresh juices and organic Samosas and shots was really good, I was sick and i want something healthy, I was looking and the cashier recommended the shots they have ginger and tumeric mix that was really good, it helped me a lot i can see it is really working.
I tried there Red cure which has apple celery beets carrots ginger it is really good. I can feel little better after drinking this.

“Great kick back hang. Amazing coffee, lots of drinks to choose from. Highly recommend the sincere apple cider and the have mercy hazy IPA from laughing Monk brewing. There's lots of seating inside and out. Relaxed atmosphere and the food is fresh and you can tell there's real love here.“

“We ordered the chicken shawarma plate from the “Grill” section and chose hummus as our base and then babaghanouge and muhammara (roasted red pepper and walnut dip) as our 2 sides. We also got some freekeh (toasted green wheat) on the side.

Simply put, this was a masterpiece. Every time I eat this type of cuisine, I start re-evaluating all the years I spent without Middle Eastern food. About how much of a shame it is that I discovered this amazing food so late in life. But no point in lamenting the past—we must look towards the future and get ourselves excited about how much Middle Eastern food we will consume moving forward!

Anyway, let me start talking about the food forreal now. The corn and edamame salsa was incredibly fresh, springy, and each kernel of corn and each edamame bean had an incredible crunch and sweetness to it that definitely complemented the meaty chicken. The chicken was nicely spiced but could have been a tad bit warmer, I thought. Nonetheless, great flavors and seasoning. The hummus was absolutely delectable. Velvety smooth, perfect amount of bitterness and nuttiness from the tahini, nicely seasoned, and adequately bright from the lemon juice and fruity olive oil.

The freekeh was a nice surprise. I had never had freekeh before, and the individual grains were so bouncy and juicy that I had to re-think my rice-centric grain worldview. The seasonings made the side feel like a complete meal of its own—the grain had a base of roasty, toasty nuttiness that went amazingly well with the smooth outer coating of olive oil (presumably) and warm, Middle Eastern spices. Perfect with any of the three dips or their house-made sauces.

Speaking of the dips, the muhammara and babaghanouge were perfect as well. Everything had a healthy drizzle of the most fruity, fresh olive oil ever, which only heightened the deliciousness of each dip. The muhammara was very sweet, which let me know that the red peppers were indeed roasted super well. The babaghanouge was also super smoky but rather chunky, which made for a textural delight and contrast from the very smooth hummus. And when combined with the soft, pillowy, and comforting pita bread… So perfect.“

Just would be more careful when drinking it while driving, during the dark, and/or wearing light color clothes, since I think the cup cap design is a little easy to cause spill.

“Gong Cha is always a staple of mine whenever I am looking for boba and they happened to have a convenient location near shopping and some good restaurants.

Note: Gong Cha locations use a non-dairy creamer but beware, these almost always still contain whey which is a dairy derivative. It's a common misnomer so always ask for non-dairy milk if you are vegan like myself or adverse to dairy products/have an allergy.

In order to get a non-dairy drink, I was told to order from the Fresh Milk Menu. I did so with my Brown Sugar Milk Tea with Oat Milk and it was satisfying overall. It is indeed quite sweet even with 50% sugar so I'd advise to go even less if you aren't wanting a completely sweet drink.

“8-Twelve is a true neighborhood gem. It is the kind of place where kids can grab a snack and a fun drink for a reasonable price, and then just relax after school. Even though it is not as close to the middle or high school as some of the other hangouts, it has become one of our favorites.

I appreciate that it has lasted the test of time and I hope it continues to thrive. One of the best parts is that they offer non-caffeinated tea drinks for the kids, which is rare and so thoughtful.

“I ordered a fruit smoothie and it was fantastic to see the robotic arm in action especially how it collected the ingredients, loaded it into the blender and poured the smoothie from the blender to the cup. I tried a protein powered smoothie next for testing and it worked flawlessly again. Oh and the drinks were excellent as well.
