I don't get the low average review score. I'm not a student, but I've eaten here several times during meetings and conferences. The food has always been top-notch. The service is amazing. And the dining room is immaculately clean and well-appointed. I've met the head chef who is the top of the game.

I have documented medical proof that I need to be gluten free, which the school knows. They don't have any gluten free meal options on a regular basis. Today it was only sides and stuff that would be gluten free anyway. This is a regular and reoccurring issue. If I wasn't required to pay for the meal plan I'd have extra money to make my own food, something I'm fully capable of, but the school requires the meal plan even though I can't eat when I try to use it.

Honestly this place is mostly a scam to squeeze more money out of the college students here. The food is almost always terrible and they don't have to treat the students like actual customers because they are forced to buy the meal plan in order to go here. Their hours suck and there isn't enough actually healthy options. My freind is gluten intolerant and she was still forced to get a meal plan even though she can never eat there because there is never anything gluten free.

The food is decent, but the fact that they force us to pay for the food and then don't let us use our own money whenever we want is ridiculous. We can only use one swipe per time slot, we can't take our leftovers with us... it's an eating disorder waiting to happen.

Went with my son for a school trip and we were able to dine in and it was quite nice. Good quality of food and large selection. Very clean and nice calm atmosphere.

As someone who has to eat there on a daily basis it's okay but would I go out of my way to eat there if I didn't have to, no. Somehow they made it even worse. Can't have anything nice at Cal Maritime. Only 2 hours for lunch hours and it takes like an hour and a half to get anything sometimes. Absolutely ridiculous. Also they have online ordering now but only for some stuff and it's on an app so if you want something that's on the app but don't have the app then you can't get it.

Found a dead cat in bathroom. My child fell in the vat of hot fry oil. I think the owner is an IRS agent but not sure. Good view and okay food.
