“We were looking for a quick bite before an event and happened to spot this cozy little place. We hadn’t read any reviews and had no idea what to expect, but it turned out to be a great find! The couple who runs it was warm and welcoming. I ordered the chicken shawarma sandwich combo—so good! The chicken was tender, juicy, and full of flavor. I really enjoyed it, and I’ll definitely be coming back to try more from the menu next time I’m in the area.

“Mangal is hands down my go-to spot for Armenian BBQ — no one does it better! The chicken and beef BBQ are absolutely delicious, perfectly seasoned, and always grilled to perfection. You can really taste the quality in the meat — tender, juicy, and full of flavor every single time.

I always order for pickup, and my food is consistently ready right on time, which I really appreciate. The portions are super generous — the plates are always packed with food, and they put extra lavash all the time.

You can tell they care about both the food and the customer experience. It’s rare to find a place that delivers on quality, consistency, and value — but Mangal does it all. This is the only place I trust for my BBQ. Highly recommend!“

“On my first visit, I was welcomed by Salim (the owner) with a friendly handshake. I tried the combo kabobs, and the quality of the ingredients stood out immediately. The kabobs were tender and oozing with juice, with just the right amount of char and smokiness to bring out their depth and flavor. The salad was crisp and very watery. The hummus was light, silky, and delicate without too much seasoning. I also liked how the rice was light — not too salty or buttery like some places.

My Arnold Palmer was refreshing and not overly sweet. Everything felt intentionally flavored to offer impact without that heavy, overwhelming feeling afterward. After a hearty meal, I felt light and satisfied. Really happy with this spontaneous find, and I’ll definitely be back to complete their entire menu.“

“Ordered from here recently. I wouldn’t say it’s the best kebabs I’ve had but it was definitely tasty and generous portions for the buy one, get one special they had that day. My daughter loved it !
Also, kudos for the advertisements that go out!! They definitely get the message across.

“What a Great Find! First time there and Junior took time to explain the whole menu to us. He also prepared the Delicious meal! We tried the chicken kabob, Shawarama, rice, Mediterranean salad, and hummus with pita bread. Fantastic meal!!! We also watched him prepare a Wrap which was Huge. We definitely be back!!! This great little place is located in the CVS shopping center on Hollywood Way and Verdugo.“

“I'm at a loss for words, but I'll try my best. Food? Amazing! Perfect amount of seasoning and the portions are huge! And this is coming from a big dude. For the appetizers, my favorites were the Kashk E'bademjan (Eggplant Delight), Potato Salad, and the Hummus! They have more selections, but this is what I was able to try. I hear all are great! For the Entrees, ALL OF THEIR KABOBS ARE FIRE (MMM MMMM YUMMY). I had a sample of most them and in the islands, we would say "broke da mouf kine", which translates to, the food is *beep beep* GOOD! If you've never had Persian Food, or you love it, this is the restaurant for you! Drinks? I love Korean Soju and Cass beer, so yeah, +10 points from me. They do carry various Wines and Beers though...and of course your choice of Soda Pop. Atmosphere? It' gives you a Kewl Kids Vibe; a classy place where you can be yourself with family and friends and just enjoy each others company. You have your choice of Indoor and Outdoor dinning which is amazing. There's also a private room upstairs that can hold 20 people for a meal and karaoke (there is a fee to reserve, but very much worth it). Staff? We were greeted at the door as if we were coming home. Pasha and his staff go above and beyond to make sure all your needs are met. Their suggestions on meal and drink pairings are spot on. I can't thank Pasha and the crew for making our group outing a success. Overall? I'll be going back and I hope that you add this restaurant to your list of 'go to' places to dine at. “Stopped in here today and glad we did. This is a very comfortable open air patio restaurant with outstanding food.

My wife had the chicken kabob plate and I had the beef plate. They were very tasty. Even the rice was very flavorful. My favorite was the beef shish kabob. It was tender with really good flavor.

The staff was friendly and helpful.

I would highly recommend they do a number system (assign table number to customers for staff to reduce confusion). It was decent food, spices and grilled veggies were good. Chicken was a little thick and hard to cook all the way through those meats. Steak was a bit dry. Seasoned fries and hummus, Pita bread was good. Ambiance was settle, no music or noises. A little pricy but portions are good. Clean establishment. Parking can be a little tight in the parking lot.“

The woman helping us could not have been more helpful, patient, and kind. I do sometimes look a bit Armenian which leads people to assume I can speak Armenian or Russian which is always a good laugh. She made excellent suggestions and gave us a very accurate timeframe of how long it would take to prepare. Since then we have ordered via UberEats 2x more and each time things were EXPERTLY packaged - literally the nicest to-go bag and perfectly portioned condiments. We were blown away. The food itself is so flavorful and the ingredients are high quality and you can tell they take pride in what they do.“

“The service was VERY friendly. My server, and several others, greeted me with genuine smiles. Started with Warak Enab Dolma/Sarma (stuffed grape leaves), which were excellent. They are the non-vinegar type which I much prefer, firm with plenty of rich olive oil. Then the Sea Bass entrée. Two full filets traditionally seasoned, a large salad, and potatoes.
