“I contacted Misah regarding catering for my birthday party for 30 people. From the very start, Misah and his staff were polite, professional, and friendly. My wife took me to the restaurant for lunch to sample the food a couple of days before the party. Misah was very nice in person as well. The food was freshly prepared and very delicious. All the sides were good as well; the lentil soup, cucumber yogurt, and hummus. He offered us free desserts to sample. Their homemade baklava is so good. When they prepare your catering order, they cook the kabob close to your pickup time so that it is hot and fresh when you get home. They use very good quality containers for transporting the food. Our party guests loved the food so much that we barely had any leftovers for the next day. We will definitely eat at Chelo in the future. It is a small hidden gem in Van Nuys.“

I have to be very careful where I eat and 99% of the time I have kabob taste in my mouth for hours. Not after eating here. Even left overs microwaved next day tasted great. The portions are perfect and so is the price. They even had home made lecho. (If you know, you know). Everything was perfect and I can go on and on. Flavor was on point, however the lule was slightly on the drier side but not terrible. For the price, it hit the spot. It was a huge portion and I ended up having a small portion of leftovers the next day. Not sure how it compares to other Mediterranean restaurants in the area, but it wasn't bad.“
