I ordered the potato and leek bolanee. Both were delicious, I always prefer leek over potato but that's my preference both were amazing. I also ordered the mantoo which was cooked to perfection and the afghan rice with lamb shank which is essentially khabuli pualo was also delicious. The lady who was running the spot was the sweetest lady ever she included an extra plate for us the Chapli kabob, which was exceptional! I was not expecting it to be this good!!! the meat was so so tender I thought it was lamb! Definitely going to be my regular spot! So happy to have found this gem! Also keep in mind this food is FRESH and made to order so factor in that it's not a drive through joint and the food isn't just sitting out, there is one lady running the store and cooking so be patient you won't be disappointed. Overall 10/10 I will definitely be back and recommend this place to everyone!!!“

“I recently tried Monaia Mediterranean Cuisine and was genuinely impressed by the quality of the food. If you’re looking for authentic Lebanese-style Mediterranean dishes, this place definitely delivers.

The standout for me was the grilled meat—everything from the chicken to the beef kebabs was cooked perfectly, juicy, and full of flavor. The shawarma was also excellent, with well-seasoned meat and fresh toppings. Their sides deserve just as much credit; the hummus was smooth and rich, and the baba ghanoush had a nice smoky depth that tasted homemade.

Portions are generous, which makes the prices feel fair, especially if you’re sharing plates. It’s the kind of place where you can order a few items and easily have enough for leftovers.

The atmosphere is pretty simple and casual—this isn’t a fancy or trendy spot, but more of a low-key neighborhood restaurant. Most people seem to order takeout, and it’s easy to see why the food travels well.

Service was solid and straightforward. Nothing overly attentive, but everything came out correctly and in a reasonable time.

If I had to point out a downside, it would be the ambiance. It’s not somewhere I’d go for a special occasion or a date night, but that’s not really what this place is trying to be.

Overall, Monaia is a hidden gem for anyone who cares more about authentic flavor than presentation. I’d definitely come back, especially when I’m craving quality Mediterranean comfort food“

“The best hummus I have had! Smooth and delicious. Tried chicken and lulleh kabob and seasoned perfectly. I loved their Mouhamara which is the red walnut pepper dip. The yogurt was light but still perfectly rich. I’m returning with bunch of family coming week. Oh, the amazing rice… I love this place. Good work to the owner and team!“

I knew the food was good as I used the delivery service before. Today I decided to visit the Cafe and I promise I’ll continue going frequently. The food is delicious but what won me over was the welcome and love you experience when you walk in the door. The staff is amazing... the Cafe has a very “welcome home” atmosphere. The complimentary cup of soup is AWESOME. I sat at a corner table allowing me to do what I love...watch people. As I enjoyed my delicious first meal of 2020 I watched as every person who entered was treated with care and joy. Just like being home the staff will keep checking to see if the food is ok and if you need anything. The NoHo Cafe is a place I recommend to anyone wishing to enjoy a good meal and to experience a “welcome home” feeling. “This place is under New Management for about three months and the new owners are super friendly. The atmosphere is great. The food is delicious. My favorite is the chicken Lula kebab wrap. If you get the plate, you can ask for hummus on the side or extra tomato sauce. In the plate, you get some Mediterranean style rice with your choice of meat on top.“

“I recently visited Safir Mediterranean Cuisine after their remodel, and honestly the place looks fantastic now — very modern, clean, stylish, and welcoming without losing its warm atmosphere.

The food was delicious every time I went. Everything tasted fresh, well-seasoned, and made with care. You can tell they really put effort into both the quality and presentation. The staff was friendly, attentive, and respectful, which made the experience even better.

A special thank you to Matt, the owner, who was a true gentleman. He took the time to greet customers and made everyone feel comfortable and appreciated. That kind of hospitality is becoming rare these days.

I noticed a few unfair negative reviews online, but after visiting several times and seeing how busy the restaurant was with happy customers, I honestly believe Safir deserves much more support and fair recognition. Sometimes one bad experience gets exaggerated online, but consistent service and quality speak louder.
