“My absolute new favorite restaurant! We were visiting family in LA from Chicago and they took us here, I ended up going three times in my one week visit. Cheese stuffed zaatar and the sojouk kachopuri were my favorite and the garlic chicken wrap was my husbands. Honestly everything we had was delicious and the kids kept asking for the pepperoni pizza and mini pizzas.“

“Halal House simply is the best for the plates! Chicken over rice and Gyro! I even got two Gyro pita wraps today. Its affordable, quick bite to heat right near CSUN. I also saw that they have burgers! Really good size and taste. This is my go to spot for halal food near Northridge, honestly.😀I“

“When I visit my mom in the valley, she enjoys going to Katsuya for lunch. I always have a smile seeing only Latinos making sushi behind the counter. Imagine going to a nice Mexican restaurant and seeing an all Japanese kitchen? Anyways, the sushi quality is good, not great. My moms favorite is the miso cod which costs double in Century City. I was told Katsuya is an independent chain and it's up to the owners the price they set“

Our favorite dishes are the black bean quesadilla (w/added pea protein) and their pancakes, but there are so many delicious options! I'm gluten free and this cafe is fantastic for me. “We came to Paragon Bar and Grill for brunch right after my daughter’s graduation from CSUN. I found the place through a quick internet search and didn’t really know what to expect, but I was able to make a reservation online for a party of 13 with no issue. Our reservation was right when they opened at 11am on a Sunday, so we pretty much had the place to ourselves—just a couple of people at the bar. The space definitely leans more bar than grill, but it worked well for our group. Very low-key and relaxed. The menu had plenty of options, which was great since we had a few picky eaters. Everyone found something they liked, and the food was excellent across the board. The service stood out—friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. We didn’t order many drinks, but even so, I was surprised at how reasonable the bill was for such a large group. Only downside: the bathroom could use a refresh. It’s what you’d expect in a neighborhood bar—functional but not the highlight of the visit. Would absolutely go back. Great experience overall, and I really appreciate the staff for helping make the day special.“

“My husband and I usually go during happy hour for their poke nachos and crispy brussel sprouts but have tried a few other things. Everything we've tried has been delicious but occasionally varies in preparation quality. We went on March 18th and ordered the poke nachos but they were not as good. The portion was a lot smaller than usual, so we decided to order another one. The second one came out great (I included a picture of the one prepared correctly) and that's when we realized they left off ingredients from the first one sent. They were still good but it was interesting that the two plates were that different. We didn't mention this to our waiter and I'm sure they would have been accommodating but maybe plates should be checked for quality before they're delivered?

Another note, we usually sit at the bar but we got a table the last time since the bar was packed. We were obviously fine with this but the cleanliness was extremely lacking. The menus had food on them and greasy fingerprints. I'm also not sure why the booths are never wiped down?? The tables are cleaned but the food just lands on the seats. Then you're wondering what else isn't cleaned, look around, and notice all the other spots that aren't wiped down. So gross.“

“We've been to the Burger Lounge in Sherman Oaks but last night we were meeting friends who live in Calabasas so Northridge felt like a great mid-point option. There were four of us. I'm an extremely picky eater!! With that said, Bella (Front of House) took my order and even repeated it back twice which included her reading from what she punched into the computer. When my order came to the table it was 100% inaccurate. Kareem (Shift Leader) was very apologetic and wanted to immediately take care of it, which I appreciated. But, I wanted to take it a step further. I wasn't upset but curious as to how this occurred as I knew Bella had inputted the order into the computer correctly. She & Kareem were uncertain as to why it happened. Bella kept apologizing and I learned she was new. I told Bella it was not her fault but she insisted on taking ownership and Kareem wanted to do whatever it took to make me happy. My career involves running a company and training employees to take responsibility and therefore expeditiously turning the situation around. It's all about recovery and between how Burger Lounge trains their staff and the type of genuine human beings that work there....Burger Lounge succeeds at elevating the dining experience! BTW, the food was fabulous and if you're going to add sugar to it, their shakes are FUNomenal. Kareem & Bella are definitely above & beyond employees and the others working there were all happy & helpful. This is the gold standard and a recipe that should be non- negotiable for any business. It was a gift that the error occurred as it showed us what an outstanding establishment Burger Lounge is with outstanding employees. Huge thank you to Kareem & Bella. Thank you for all that you are and all that you do. You two, your team & Burger Lounge have the secret sauce!“

“My wife and I (I'm Korean, she's Irish American) ordered the real deal galbi (not AYCE) and she was very satisfied. The place was super clean and it was busy but the service was great. I actually thought the best thing I ate for lunch was the shrimp/vegetable tempura. It brought me back to my mom's/grandmom's cooking. I would be excited to go back and try other dishes. It's definitely not as fancy as Park's but definitely a quality, authentic KBBQ restaurant.“

“The description of Ike's to me made it sound like Fat Sal's and I was excited. Truth of the matter is Ike's holds its own, and it didn't disappoint. It has a great menu mixed with Meat and Veggie options. The Mrs. and I split and highly recommend the Captain Carl and the Meatless Mike (I concur "best vegan meatball in America", and Our 3 y/o gives the grilled cheese 👍👍. Our 9y/o swears it was the best grilled cheese she ever had.“

“the food was delicious and the portions are generous and large enough to share. the staff is wonderful and so attentive. she gave wonderful suggestions and is very informed on the menu items. its also great for vegans or vegetarians. highly recommend this hidden gem. the tables are spacious and spaced out with a few booths, parking lot is available and a bit small but there is always enough parking space available.“

“Fabulous! We wandered in on a whim after the power was out at our usual poke spot—and what a lucky find. We shared an order of spring rolls and egg rolls, plus a grilled bánh mì, and every bite was fresh and delicious. The peanut dipping sauce deserves a special shout-out—absolutely outstanding. The portions were generous, the prices were great, and it was more than enough food for two.

It’s always a good sign when you see Vietnamese families dining in a Vietnamese restaurant, and that was definitely the case here. Even my partner, whose taste buds usually lean hard toward burgers and fries, was blown away by how good everything was.

To make it even better, it was one of those clear, sunny, picture-perfect mid-December days in Southern California, and they had Bing Crosby Christmas carols playing in the background. Loved every minute of it. LA really is the best. 🎄☀️“

On this occasion, the man working the counter had a very pleasant demeanor. I ordered the Hamburger Cutlet, and my Mom got the Pork Cutlet. You get a complete meal. Both cutlets came with a side of shredded cabbage, and sides of Miso Soup, Takuan, Rice, and a dipping/topping sauce. The presentation was very nice, the cutlets were placed on grill plates so they don't sit in grease which is great. I tasted some of the Pork Cutlet and it was crunchy, tender, and juicy. My Hamburger Cutlet was the same, and it was pure meat patty, no fillers here. Overall, dining here is a great value. You get restaurant quality food at a reasonable price. And, customer service was excellent. The gentleman working the counter really was extremely nice and was a big factor in our positive dining experience.“

“I had lunch here with a friend yesterday and we both loved this restaurant. The bean dip was so delicious I filled up on it before ordering. Our margaritas were perfectly made. I ordered the vegetarian Taco De Calabacitas and it was so good. My friend ordered the tortilla soup and said it was fantastic. We both loved the atmosphere. Natalie, our server, was friendly, prompt and very helpful. Finally I have to thank her and Roberto for the safe return of my wallet which I inadvertently left there.“

“My family and I went to try Z Pizza for the first time. We were ending our busy evening to have dinner there. When we walked in we were greeted by the chef. I asked what time they close? He said 10pm. I looked at my phone and it was 9:45. I said to the chef "Looks like you guys are closing soon? It's ok thanks. We don't want to keep you working late" the chef said "no, no, no. Welcome to Z Pizza. What can I make for you and your family? Our menu is right over here". I felt bad but we ordered and the chef was phenomenal. I asked his name and he said "Fernando". He was very knowledgeable of the menu, patient towards our decisions and very hospitable. At this point, I didn't mind waiting because the place was so clean inside. Nonetheless, we grab our food, went home and ate. Omg, was the food awesome! Thank you Chef Fernando. Because of you we'll definitely be back.“
