“A friend and I decided to meet up in the area to have a birthday lunch and the restaurant we had chosen was closed. We learned the hard way that multiple businesses in this town close and limit their menus on Tuesday. We decided to try the Parlour Pub instead and we were welcomed very warmly by the young lady behind the bar. We grabbed a table and I went up to the bar to check out the menu. It looked great. Unfortunately, as I was turning to bring the menus back to the table, the young lady behind the bar said they had a limited menu on Tuesdays and only had tacos. She must have seen the disappointment on our faces because she was very kind about it and told us she would be happy to whip us up something but not to worry if we weren't feeling it. We ended up deciding to go elsewhere but I really appreciated how sweet the bartender was and the friendly vibe we got, especially for obvious out-of-towners. It's rustic inside and if that's not to your taste, they have a nice outdoor seating area and the bathroom was clean. I would definitely come back here for a drink or dinner sometime.“

“Very good place to stop, it's a locals hangout with lots of friendly people and staff, the food is great, beer is cold. Store is just that a small country store with a wide variety of things you could possibly need. Especially if you're camping at Lake Amador which is about a mile away!If you forgot it, they probably have it!Parking: Decent size parking lot, can get tight depending on the day and time. There is additional parking directly across from the store. Casino is about a mile away“

“4 stars for being a local "dive" bar. totally casual bar. and i do love me a good dive bar once & awhile. but, be prepared as you walk in as every head will turn. i went during the week to meet up with a friend. it was not too busy .. but i had a great time talking to the locals. i met some really nice people. and i loved that i could have my fur baby with me. (make sure to take a leash) too bad the restaurant closed down....i was getting hungry after a couple skinny margaritas. (the glass was small that they were served in) ... but they were good. so we headed off to get some fajitas which worked out well as it was cooling down and we were able to sit outside. BTW... this place is called "The Range" by the locals.“
