“I had the stroganoff It was fabulous... but $46 for a small bowl of pasta with a few pieces of filet, is a bit much. Had we not had the crab cakes and split a wedge salad, I would have gone home hungry. We eat there at least twice a month.. Our most favorite spot, but I'd suggest lowing the price on the stroganoff. All in All, everything was great!!“
“The only thing that keeps this from being a five star review is the fact that I had reservations and still had to wait 20 minutes to be seated. The food , atmosphere, and staff are outstanding. The place needs to be expanded, that was the reason for the wait.“
“I really like this place. I've been coming for quite a few years. The food is very good and the drinks from the bar are pretty good as well, (catch them at happy hour). I love the minestrone soup and salad, both hearty and delicious. Try the chicken marsala you won't disappointed ?.“
“My friends and I made plans to pair a visit with Hay Tone's Hangout with visiting King's Skate Country across the street. While my friends had been to Hay Tone's before it had been awhile and I had never been. The vibe at Hay Tone's is extremely laid back and while I was expecting a bar, it was more of a combination of a convenience store, pool hall and bar. They advertise as being family friendly and even sell juice boxes that are clearly meant for kids. At the same time it definitely also had the feel of a bar with people sitting on bar stools and drinking beer. It really did blur the boundary of what is a bar and what is a place that just serves alcohol. I only drink occasionally, so I got a grape Kool Aid and a water, but would have preferred to have a Capri Sun! The staff were extremely friendly and all around the vibes were good. I could see myself coming back with friends in the future.“
“I liked the atmosphere, the wait staff are inexperienced youngsters that delivered us nachos that were old. They never came back to ask us if everything was ok. I didn't like how I was charged $3.50 for every little sample, it was just a splash of beer! The actual brewery in Turlock is a lot better.“
“Great team players. To be transparent, I'm biased. But I love working karaoke here and Lola is so amazing to work with! Amanda is a great manager and they both are so great at making everyone feel welcome. Dave and Jamie are great new owners and if you get a chance, check out their other venues: Old Town Pizza and Prost Beer Hall in Elk Grove.“
“Babes is rather new to town and I welcome them! The owner is always looking for ways to improve his guests experience at Babes which is nice! The free pool tables is amazing. His beer prices are more than fair and he has an amazing collection of tequilas on site. The inside bar is nice and cozy, the bartenders are wonderful and always give good customer service. Babes is a rare gem in old town Elk Grove and deserves to be visited. Sometimes on Fridays they have "smash burgers" by Eric that are so good I can't resist them!“
“Out on a late date lunch with my husband and we’re greeted by the kindest server, Vanessa! She was so friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. When we come back we will look specifically for her. Thank you Vanessa for the awesome service!Parking: Lots of parking available“
