“Historical plaque inscription:Busch Gardens, Van Nuys, opened in 1966 at a construction cost of $4 milion dollars. In 1979, the park closed to make way for a major brewery expansion. At its peak attendance, it was a major San Fernando Valley tourist attraction which was complete with a bird show, boat rides, free beer (Budweiser, Michelob, and Busch Bavarian), and a monorail tour of the brewery facility. In 1972, a 5-acre parcel was added that included a log flume ride that traveled through the main garden area then crossed over the Union Pacific railroad to a large netted bird sanctuary. The rocks below were excavated from the existing trailer lot which previously held the bird aviary. These rocks were buried 8’ below the earth and were excavated on August 14, 2015.Note: A mistake on the marker says the log flume ride crossed over the railroad, but it never did. It’s the tram ride that crossed the railroad, with a track painted blue that looks similar to the flume ride in photos. The first Busch Gardens was 30 miles east of here in Pasadena, at the home of Adolphus Busch, whose garden was a tourist attraction from 1905 to 1937. Some features of those gardens can still be seen today, in the residential neighborhood surrounding Busch Garden Drive.“
“Everyone at Lawless is a pleasure to work with. We host a weekly game night on Mondays and they always have the best food trucks and excellent brews (seasonal and standards). You can’t beat the laid back atmosphere. DOGS are allowed which makes it an even cooler place to just come hang out, meet friends, play games, or even do work. We love LAWLESS!“
“Beer and Food: good amount of in-house crafted beers. They also have a kitchen that serves a variety of food. On some nights, they have food trucks. Everything I got was delicious.Service: The staff was kind and explained some of their beers and gave recommendations for food. There is plenty of inside seating and outside seating.Final thought: I was in town for work and needed a place to get a cold drink and delicious food. Hand brewed beer was a perfect choice! If you are into sports, they have plenty of TVs as well. They had trivia the night I visited. I even got a cool shirt! If I'm ever in town, I will definitely come back!“
“I genuinely love this place atmosphere is amazing and chill. Love the music . But that female bartender with the colored bangs really needs to check her attitude. I've came here multiple times with different group of friends and she has a bitter snarky attitude. And we aren't rude in anyway. you can just genuinely tell when she's having a bad day, she just let's it out on people. I hope she's okay but it's not fair to the customers either.“
“Great beer. We always enjoy this place and the food trucks have also been yummy.“
“Our absolute favorite Brewry in the valley… Bryan and Derek are the coolest guys ever and owners of 818 Brewry
Chad Jayla And JanJan are three of the nicest and coolest bartends you will ever meet. The place has the coolest vibe ever and we have made some amazing friends here. Watch the games (LA HOUSE FOR SPORTS) 😁😁😁😁
The energy is off the walls
Come try their awesome IPA’s and blondes or even cool stouts. Their beers also have valley significant names
A 5 in my book of places to visit when in the LA area“
“Stopped by to try out your beers. Absolutely the best beers I’ve had in a while. Your Oatmeal Cookie Brown Ale knocked my socks off and if it wasn’t for me needing to drive home I would have stayed all day long. By the way that barrel aged version is heaven in a glass. Keep up the world class brewing.“
“Great beers! First time here and definitely will be coming back soon!“
“Great beer, great staff, great atmosphere ... you couldn't ask for a better brewery experience than Trustworthy Brewing Company! The space is neighborhoody without being boring. There is street parking out front - which is usually plentiful - and the rolling door entrance is wide, letting in the sunlight and air and welcoming you in. There are some seats outside if you want to soak up some Burbank sun, while inside you can find several tables and high tops and, of course, spots at the bar.The brewing takes place in the back and you can glimpse that equipment while you sit. You can also grab cans to-go from the fridge (which I recommend you do). It's a brewery, so you come here for the beer. There's truly nothing bad on the menu. And, as is usual these days, you'll find a hard leaning toward IPAs here and you can't go wrong with any of them.Personally, I'm a stout, porter and other dark beers drinker, and Trustworthy Brewing has some of the best options I've found in Los Angeles in that area. The Black is Beautiful imperial stout is astonishingly good. (But be careful. At 10% they'll sneak up on you. I know. They were so good that I just wanted to have "one more" and that meant three. The world was indeed bright and lovely after three of them!)The food is good for a brewery. We had the pizza and it was good. Bear in mind, there won't be any Michelin stars handed out, but as far as a working, functional brewery food goes, the selection and flavor is good. You'll eat it all between pints. The folks working there are wonderful as well. Friendly and conversational without being annoying. And they know their beer for sure, so feel free to ask questions, not just about the beer brewed there, but all over LA and the country.Oh, and you can grab a t-shirt if you had an exceptionally good time and want to relive it regularly.Overall, Trustworthy Brewing is worth seeking out if your in Burbank, Los Angeles or Southern California in general. If you go once, I guarantee you'll be back!“
