This review is ONLY for the margaritas and guac and chips, as we did not have a full meal. But wow, those margaritas will knock you off your feet! Super tasty, and super strong. They're pricey but you get a lot of bang for your buck. The guac and chips were also very good. The seating is all outdoors in a casual, backyard feeling space. A couple of the tables have built in heat lamps which is nice on a chilly afternoon. Parking is available along Abbott Kinney street and is free.

De Buena Plata is such a cozy place to chill and relax! They serve Calidad beer and also make great cocktails. Love the fire pits and the interior, really keeps you warm in picturesque Venice Beach.

The place on social media looks active, fun, and beautiful. When we got there it was beautiful and we did have a great time. We thought the self serve QR code was cool because everyone can take care of their own tab but it turned out to be hot mess. No servers check on you to see how your doing, it took us 45 mins to get our drinks and that was because I had to flag 3 people down, when we got our drinks there was little to no ice so it felt like I was drinking a room temperature margarita. This place needs to do better or just don't hype up your social media and give terrible service/ drinks. The appetizers came out on time but don't get the Cucumbers with Tajin it was so small was def not a shareable . I give this place a .5 star if any 0 The nachos were good. I would like to come back, but we'll see

Best place to have a date night and listen to music. Love all the vegan options and the drinks are to die for.

We passed by this clandestine alley riding bikes. Had to take a second look as the open entrance between two commercial buildings was intriguing. The outside areas and decor was simple, but pleasing. We stumbled in on a trivia game presented by a very congenial host. He was engaging and entertaining. We were fortunate to taste a delicious, Spicy Cucumber Margarita on National Margarita Weekend. Albeit, we didn't eat as we just finished a snack previously, we will definitely come back and try the food and order another margarita of course!

Cool vibes, delicious drinks and Guacamole and chips. The place is photoshootable for Instagram and Tik Tok.Cons:1- Restrooms are across the street at their restaurant and it usually busy.2- You order drinks and food at the bar.3- Expensive for the quality provided.

I was told this was a pop up when i first went.. about 2 years ago :) I'm not complaining. Great drinks. Good food. Lovely spot to spend the afternoon in the sun.

This place has great potential, it looks great and has a nice vibe. The staff are wonderful but the food is below par and overpriced.

Cute spot on Abbot Kinney for a quick drink - yes, be quick cause they do ask you to leave after 90 min. Overpriced as almost everything around AK. The staff was very friendly on-site. However, they were taking their sweet time. The drinks took too long and I had to get up to find a server to order the second one. I was told no dogs over the phone when I called asking if dogs are allowed. But in reality, they are allowed as that was more than one puppy when we were there.

For the Silverlake location!!! Lovely evening in the Cantina tonight! My husband and I have dined at the restaurant several times and tonight we made a res in their bar space, the Cantina. When we arrived, we were confused to see the main patio dining closed down but when we walked into the side door to the Cantina the energy was lively but not overwhelming. It had a warmth to the space, clearly everyone inside was happy to be there. People were huddled in their own groups and we took two chairs at the bar instead of sitting at one of the tables nestled against banquets that line the walls. We made the right choice. We were served by a delightful bartender named Sammy, who knew the deep menu offerings of mezcal and guided us through the bar menu of small plates. We loved the food we ordered, from the pickled veggies that we used to scoop up the homemade guacamole (their chips were delicious too) to the chayote fries that were similar to a squash, fried and served w a maple aioli we were obsessed with. The Gringa Tacos that were a take on a crumbled burger (Impossible) w cheese, pica de gallo and cabbage were delicious. The apps and tacos were plenty for us. They paired beautifully with our mezcal margaritas. Sammy told us they had suggestions if we wanted to try some sipping mezcals and once we had our first round of margs, we tried a few to sip. Sammy recommended different Agua del Sol mezcals and they did not disappoint. Sammy walked us through the differences in the taste, where they hit on the palette and how they would linger. It was fun to hear their thoughts and try the different bottles out. We wrapped up our night with a plate of churros, paired with a side of warm Mexican chocolate to dip into. Perfection. This was an fun evening with wonderful staff who elevated the delicious meal into a special night. Do check out the Cantina! We were told the main patio will be opening back up in March with some redesigned seating in that area. Again, we've eaten there multiple times. The outdoor patio food, drinks and kind staff brought us back but the seating was never very comfortable. Looking forward to them nailing that down and cementing a space our neighborhood will enjoy for years to come. Salud, Sammy!

Okay but completely vegan. Good drinks. Jackfruit tacos tasted like dog food. Give options for people of all diets.

Food options are very slim, but delicous. I would go back for a quick bite and for shopping in the area. Super cute decor, which makes you feel like you're not in Venice. Drinks were tasty too!

I really like this restaurant for the food choices, the ambiance outside and the cocktails. That said please note the restrooms are across the street at their sister restaurant this is a pop-up. My other caveat and it's a big one, I tried to get my son to eat there with me as he took me there first. He said none of his friends who live a block away will go there anymore. Three of their girlfriends were roofied by a bartender or server, they said all three contacted the restaurant and yet no staff has been fired. They were falling over after their drink and one went and was tested which proved it was put in her drink. My confidence in their staff and management is now nonexistent and I can't support them after they refused to respond to the women that were harmed in their place. Ladies be warned don't order cocktails there.
