Where has this place been all my life?

For years, I thought people were talking about some random neighborhood joint… turns out they were talking about Lokal—and I’ve been missing out big time.

This place is a fusion comfort food wonderland. Vietnamese, Korean, Mexican… flavors from everywhere somehow working together in perfect harmony. If “food porn” had an entry in the dictionary, Lokal would be a strong contender for the cover...

a sandwich/banh mi specialist at the heart of Venice. I honestly was surprised that the place looked much cooler than I imagined before. It's more like a hype cafe with contemporary design, definitely beyond a classic neighborhood sandwich shop. I could surely see myself coming back and hanged here more.

I went for their Grilled Chicken Banh Mi, which seemed to be one of their most popular. It was marked spicy but for my spiciness tolerance it's actually...

Wow Bahn-mi! What a lovely treat this was. Friendly staff and delicious k-bbq Banh-mi on a crispy roll. Careful with this Sriracha chili sauce, it's no joke, extreme fire temps! Use very sparingly.
