If you like spicy, you cannot pass on their hot and spicy soup. We have turned on several friends to that dish alone! “An excellent place for a first date. It’s quiet enough to talk, yet not so quiet that it feels awkward. The lighting is soft and romantic, and the drink selection is fantastic — especially if you’re into wines or classy cocktails. I appreciated the attention to detail: the garnishes were fresh, glassware elegant, and even the water was served with a cucumber slice. That’s how you know they care about presentation. We stayed for almost three hours, just talking and sipping. Will definitely come back.“

I originally posted a review regarding what I believed to be a billing error at Chin’s Carlsbad. However, after speaking directly with a representative, Howard, I want to commend their professionalism and quick response in addressing my concerns.

Howard took the time to go over my receipt in detail, and we discovered that the Point-of-Sale system deducts a portion of sales tax from gift certificates, which initially caused some confusion. After reviewing the proper sales tax calculations, it became clear that my bill was actually correct. In retrospect, I was mistaken, not the restaurant.

I truly appreciate Howard's courteous and professional approach in resolving this issue. It’s a testament to their commitment to customer satisfaction. Chin’s has always been a family favorite, and I’m happy to say that their integrity and service remain top-notch.“

Most definitely coming back here next time, particularly if I want cheap drinks - didn’t get them this time, but decent menu prices, much better than I would expect

Parking: Decent spots, but rapidly fill up - would recommend parking in the free lot by Le Papagayo or the Blue water grill and walking

The freshness in flavors, everything perfectly cooked, char grilled proteins and veggie skewers 🫠🫠🫠 I used to eat here every day when the original place was in San Marcos but I do not mind driving down a little more for my fix.
