I’ve been a fan of this place in the past, but on my recent visit, I noticed a decline in quality. I ordered California roll unagi nigiri and the tempura roll—they lacked flavor and freshness I’ve come to expect. The taste felt a bit off compared to more authentic sushi spots. Hoping it was just an off day, as I’d love to see the quality return to what it once was.

The last two times we were there we’ve noticed the quality of the sushi and the sushi preparation and presentation has gone down. Also they seem to be skimping on the amount of fish on the sushi itself. We’ve been dining at this place for many years and I think we are going to look for another place. I also want to add that we also use to go to Nama that was in Pleasant Hill by the Century Theater that closed down.

Yakisoba was absolutely killer. So delicious and it came to the table piping hot. Miso soup was also the perfect appetizer to start. The chicken yakitori was flavorful and cooked to perfection. I will definitely be back.

Absolutely terrible. I ordered the 10 nigir platter and 6 of them were all the same fish and of poor quality. I literally paid $30 to eat the “Sprout discounted frozen fish on Wednesday” . My work place is near this restaurant and tried it a couple times last year and it was good. But now it's not good anymore. Will never come back again.

I did not eat in this restaurant. I am a doordash driver and I went to this restaurant to pick up an order. I had to stand at the counter for 10 mins with the staff just walking by every few mins just looking at me. It was so rude not asking me what I want or anything I could be a customer as well. Later I went to ask myself and before I spoke the staff just told me “yeah just wait 20 mins”. I understand you could be busy but at least talk nicely and ask for the orders name.

Wish I could give no star!!! This is the worst restaurant I have ever been? The food is just so gross and not tasty at all!! We ordered a Katsudon and chicken udon, man, they were super salty and the pork in Katsudon was overcooked and poorly made…. The udon didnt have many pieces of chicken, so only the udon itself filled you up - the dish wasnt not cheap as well, not worth at all
Waitresses are not friendly either and one of them didnt understand much in general. Not sure why this restaurant can still be running….

This restaurant, which I often order from, has become cleaner and tastier since the sushi chef changed. It's fresh, well-balanced, and all the dishes are delicious.

Great sushi, and incredible people working here. Love me some Nama! The Gina Roll might be my fav! The jalapeños stuffed with cream cheese and deep fried are incredible too. Great sake selection!
