Fat Lou's Cafe | Mexican is a cozy spot where the food feels homemade and comforting. The chile verde is exceptional, and the Mexican Flag plates are a must eat. Many guests praise the generous plates of tamales and the fresh tortilla chips with guacamole. A jar of salsa and jalapeños is popular enough that people buy them to take home. The bacon cheeseburger with homemade French fries is a favorite, and the carnitas are also praised for their fresh taste. Service is friendly; the owner and his family welcome guests like members of their own family, and the owner's grandson is noted for being sweet and helpful. The atmosphere feels warm and memorable, more than just a meal. Guests who drive through the area say the place is a highlight of their trip. The menu also includes the Mexican Flag plates and tamales, which many call some of the best they've ever eaten. Overall, the restaurant offers tasty, fresh food and a welcoming vibe that keeps customers coming back.
