It's been awhile since we've been to Wimpy's so me and my mom and 2 boys (13 and 4) decided to go on a Sunday. It was surprisingly pretty empty only us and 3 other families. We waited around 10 minutes for menus and decided to go track one down. We finally had the waitress come over and take our drink orders, and place our orders. They were out of fries, fish and chips, and the Philly sandwich. Which was disappointing. We got different food than we wanted. We ended up going to the bar to pick up our drinks after 30 minutes of waiting. Which we're sitting at the bar. We didn't start eating for almost 2 hours. The waitress was seen eating pizza in the kitchen. She did not seem sorry for the wait. The 2 other families were also disappointed in the wait and lack of food. I heard another family say "I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone" The food was fine but we ate fast because we were starving and my 4 year old was losing patience. We got the check after waiting for that for another 15 minutes. We ended up asking for a discount which they gave, and the family that came in after us left because they were tired of waiting. I'm hoping they just had an off day, but I probably won't be back.

We stopped in for lunch today (4/21/24) at about 12:30 pm. It seemed like they were out of half their menu. No French fries, no onion rings, no fish (for fish and chips), no this, no that. How do you run a restaurant that most likely thrives on its weekend business without making sure you have enough food? Especially when most of what you are out of is kept in your freezer? I can't blame the staff, this is all on the owners/management.

My dad and I stopped by Wimpy's for a late lunch on a Wednesday. It had been years since my dad had been there, and I had never been there before. There was only one other table of patrons dining when we arrived, and they already had their food. Our server was kind, but not very attentive. It took a tremendous amount of time to get a menu, place our order, and eventually get our food. With all of that being said, we enjoyed the view and each other's company. I decided to try their Delta dip sandwich, which was essentially a French dip sandwich with au jou. My dad ordered a sandwich as well. We both ordered tater tots as our sides and I will say, the tater tots were crispy, golden perfection, and the portion size was massive. All in all, this is a decent spot to grab a bite to eat if you find yourself in the area.

Went out to see the Sandhill cranes at dawn on Saturday, and then hit Wimpy's for a delicious breakfast and much-needed hot coffee. Our server Julie was so friendly and upbeat, everybody in the restaurant was smiling and happy. Food was excellent and the vibe was fantastic. A delta treasure.
Awesome staff, fun original drink recipes when we were there, superb atmosphere and views outside with amazing live music!

I've been here as a kid many times, and I went back today. It still has the same friendly, family, down-home atmosphere I remember!! Lexi the server greeted me on my way in, and she is so kind. Kori the bartender relished in some memories with me and poured me a strong drink. Matt the cook made me a perfectly cooked burger. I felt like I was surrounded by the best food and people. This restaurant is a timeless treasure on the delta, and everyone and everything about it is simply perfect.

The staff were nice but service was very slow and not well done. We waited around 30 min for our food when we only saw one other table without food when we entered the restaurant. When we received our food, one of our orders were wrong. I received a plate with a small portion of scrambled egg instead of what I ordered which was a 2 egg breakfast with sunny-side-up eggs. When the server tried to correct this a plate was brought out with uncooked raw egg. My boyfriend ordered a Denver omelette which was covered in excessive grease and plain unpleasant to eat. As college students we don’t think our meals were worth the money.
