Went for the first time to Spicy hot pot yesterday with my husband and we were greeted very nicely with a smile as we came in. The waitress showed us to our table and asked us if it was our first time. The waitress explained and gave us a large plastic bowl with some metal tongs and you serve yourself a wide variety of foods to put into the bowl and then you give it to the waitress and they ask you on what flavored broth you want it cooked with and how spicy you want it. The staff is very nice, friendly, kind, and greeted with a smile. The waitress explains the process to first-timers: guests take a large plastic bowl with metal tongs and serve themselves a wide variety of foods, then choose a flavored broth and spice level. The food is weighed and priced by the pound, not AYCE, so guests don’t feel pressured to overeat and leftovers can be packed. The selection of veggies is great, including winter melon and taro, with a sauce bar offering standard toppings like green onions, cilantro, and garlic. The broth is steaming hot and delicious—mild or spicy—and the secret broth is recommended, though a bit salty. The beef was a very fatty cut. The price is reasonable and affordable, with free drinks given. The topping bar and food bar are super clean. An English guide sign outside walks through the process. The food is delicious and extraordinary, and guests look forward to returning.
