Before leaving the area, near MT Shasta, to head to the coast I stopped by the town of Weed CA and ate some awesome Asian-American style BBQ pork ribs with rice. Would highly recommend trying it out. Great food and reasonable pricing ran by a Air Force Special Forces Veteran.

Asian-American Barbecue is a sweet spot and a gem for foodies, offering authentic BBQ with a Thai influence. The food is absolutely delicious, with meats that are tender and boast a strong smokey flavor. Many recommend the grilled pork belly, and carnitas are also highly praised, with a special spicy sauce that is outstanding. The restaurant is owner operated, with a friendly and polite cook who is generous. While the menu can be hard to read, it's worth being patient and asking what's ready. Portions are generous, and the outdoor BBQ pit creates a mouthwatering aroma. Despite some finding the price of ribs high, the overall experience is exceptional and a return trip is definitely planned.
