“I found this place when I was staying in West Hollywood for a staycation and I really enjoy their acai bowls. If you dine in, they serve in an actual bowl with a metal spoon. I like the sustainable option and moving away from plastic all the time. The staff are all super friendly and the food is reasonably priced considering the size of the bowls. They have plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors and it's right on the Santa Monica Blvd strip which is good for people watching. They also offer free wifi.“

“I own and operate a walking food tour company, so I know a thing or two about the restaurant scene, particularly in Beverly Hills and West Hollywood, so hope that gives a little context to my review.

So, my review...This. Place Is. Great! I ordered the "God Save the Quinoa"...quinoa is my favorite grain...and it was perfect. It has all the things you'd want...Kalamata olives, onions, peppercini's and perfectly cooked grilled chicken. But the real star of any salad is the dressing...and this dressing did not disappoint. It's' a lemon vinaigrette, which sounds simple, but there was a little kick to it and something else that I couldn't identify, but I loved it.

John, the owner, has worked for some major superstar chefs and institutions, so he knows what he's doing. He's doing all the basics right while upleveling them in just the way that you'd want. Can't wait to go back and try a different salad or a sandwich.

This neighborhood needs more restaurants like Mad Rebel...healthy choices made from organic and quality ingredients that don't break your budget. If you're shopping at the Beverly Center or staying at a nearby hotel, this should definitely be on your list while in the area. Cheers!“

“Had an event in Echo Park this past weekend, so everyone was excited to have açaí and to our surprise there was a line up outside the store and it probably lasted and hour or so but the 2 individuals working during that time were phenomenal!!! Don’t usually leave reviews but wanted to applaud these two young workers as they managed the busyness with such ease (not to mention the various bases were extremely yummy as well!!)“

“I love this place. It's in the basement, but don't let that fool you, they make some of the best sandwiches I have ever had, and I have loved everything else I have tried so far. The staff is friendly, and you can order online or over the phone. I think they also have a mobile app but I have never used it.“

“A seriously delicious local burger spot that I wish I would’ve found sooner. Everything was high-quality and had great flavors. It reminded me a lot of Farmer Boys because the patties were large, the veggies were fresh and crisp and it had very similar flavors. Service was fast and friendly and the pricing is very fair. There is a free parking lot attached so it is a really quick and convenient lunch or dinner option. They don’t have outdoor seating but plenty of indoor tables but most people choose to take it to go, which is what we did.

For the first visit I chose the Buffalo Burger with avocado and cheese and thought it was fantastic. The buffalo patty was very lean but filled with flavor and the french fries on the side were a good call and I would not recommend missing them. We also ordered a Mahi Sandwich and the fish was cooked perfectly and had a lot of flavor. Overall, I was impressed with the meal and would definitely come back again soon.

“Tasty food but I wish they would allow you to build your own bowls. All the different bowl names you have to study carefully to see what the difference is in them.

And everything has cauliflower! My stomach does not digest it well and it gives me cramps so being able to build my own bowl without specifying for them to hold the cauli, relying on people to follow instructions (when I’ve often gotten orders that have not) is a lot to rely on.

If I’m paying for food I would like to make sure I’m safe in not having anything that could mess up my stomach. I don’t play with my health.“

“This was my first visit to True Food. We had a customer in town for a quick visit. She had several very severe food allergies, so we needed to be very careful where we ate dinner. Justin, our waiter was awesome with going back and forth to the chef to discuss different ingredients in the different foods. Alphonse, the executive chef came out, sat at our table and discussed her very specific options she could eat and stay safe. There were 3 of us total, we each had something very different, I am pescatarian and I had so many options! Alphonse had our meals delivered and everything was absolutely perfect!! As we were enjoying our dinners, Alphonse stopped by to check in and let us know to save room, he had several surprises for dessert. He brought out 3 separate desserts, all safe for our customer and all three were very unique and out of this world amazing!! We had such a great time sharing and rotating the desserts around the table as we shared the delicacies! I honestly cannot recommend True Food enough! For someone with a food allergy, it’s so easy and enjoyable to eat here as the menu is named, and the waiters are knowledgeable and helpful at dealing with sensitivities. “I’ve been here several times and every time I go the service is great. The manager is always very helpful and all of the workers are very communicative.It’s nice that they validate parking for the nearby parking garage, considering the lack of street parking.There is indoor and outdoor seating available. The workers always get through the line very fast and efficiently.As far as accessibility is concerned, there is no ramp needed for entry and the countertops are at a reasonable level for wheelchair users.

“I’ve driven by so many times. The place looks cute, has great people watching tables outside and seems fun and lively. It’s often packed.

Today I saw they serve Huevos Rancheros. However, the picture was awful. It did not look like Huevos Rancheros one bit. Looking closely, I saw it reads Huevos Rancheors. lol! Unacceptable! I’m a proud Latina and this is just off putting. Laughable and tragic.

So I chose the plain boring ‘murican Breakfast Plate. Bacon, 2 over hard eggs and sourdough toast. Heavenly and perfectly cooked bacon! A big plus! So many places serve dry brittle bacon which has probably been lying around till it plops on your plate. Perfect toast! However, the eggs were slightly runny. Big no no! I said over hard. They were good anyway.

The ambience and look is cool. Guess what? The staff are all pretty, bright eyed, bushy tailed young people! Awesome service! Our server was in a great mood and made me forget the wackiness of the Huevos Rancheors. The young lady that was bussing was making great eye contact and was always ready to help! Some rando from the kitchen asked if we wanted something else in a nice upbeat way!

We also had blueberry pistachio waffles which were decent. They put whipped cream on them. Why is America so obsessed with whipped cream? It’s useless. Not particularly good and full of calories. They played a JLo song. Weird. I’ll be back! Meter parking outside.“

“One of my go-to spots for acai bowls and smoothies. The Angry Trainer bowl is one of my favorite acai bowls - it has inchi protein powder which gives it a slightly nutty flavor, a generous amount of blueberries and bananas, sweet, homemade granola, and a drizzling of honey on top. I get the large size for a filling lunch. I really like the granola, and I think the acai is well-blended and smooth.The “avo here” avocado smoothie is creamy and quite filling. I’ve also had the “capo” chocolate which had little cacao crunchies in the smoothie. It also has protein powder so there’s a slight chalky aftertaste, but it’s still good. They do have food, as they work with Roni’s Diner (right next door). The roasted vegetable bowl is quite filling and very healthy - it comes with an Italian balsamic vinaigrette, but I like putting tapatio on it to give it some extra zing. The chicken tinga bowl is also super filling, and they give a pretty generous portion of the shredded chicken.It’s a small space, and it’s best to just grab it to-go. It’s also available on grub hub/seamless. Street parking is available, there’s no free WiFi, and they do take credit cards. Overall it’s a bit pricey, but I enjoy the quality and heft of the acai bowls.“

“We recently moved to the area and I have so far been 4 times. The food is delicious with plenty of vegan options. My fave is the veggie kabob with grilled portobello mushrooms to die for - the best I have ever eaten! For a lighter fare I love the açaí bowl -the almond butter makes it smooth and creamy. The sign on the bathroom door puts a smile on your face every time- I will leave a little mystery here for you to discover yourself. And if you’re a coffee lover there are a myriad of housemade choices. I definitely recommend meeting a friend here for lunch.“

“We recently ordered takeout from Sweetgreen in LA, and it was a fantastic experience! I tried the Elote Bowl, and it was very good, I customized it a bit but the greens were fresh and delicious. While a bit pricey, I feel the value is definitely there. When I am finished with the bowl, I am certainly full! I only wish they had a location in Arizona so I could enjoy it more often. “I love Sweetgreen! Someone at my office had ordered catering/delivery and offered me a salad. I tried the kale caesar with chicken and loved it! I went back to the Culver City location and also tried the Santa Monica (4th street location) and they were both great! I usually ask for extra dressing, since it does come with a lot of lettuce. It is very filling and definitely has enough lettuce for two salads. At the Santa Monica location, I went on my lunch and one of the employees was super helpful! She helped me retrieve my order quickly and easily, since I was slightly pressed for time. Would definitely recommend Sweetgreen!“

While I intended to sip it and work out, I realized in the locker room that I didn't have a shirt to wear over my Under Armour pants. I plan to return tomorrow or in the coming days as I need to get back in shape and stay active. “I felt welcomed as soon as I entered. I created my plate. Steak over sushi rice with chimichurri sauce. My sides excited my taste buds. Parmesan brussel sprouts that actually had sliced dates inside, made it quite sweet. The butternut squash side actually had a little bit of pine nuts and tangerines within it. Interior inside is small BUT the food flavor is large! Clean restroom and metered street parking.
