“SUPERB PIZZA FROM THE RED TENT
Honestly one of the best pizzas I've had in all of Los Angeles. You'll find it on a side street off of Laurel canyon across from the bank of America parking lot.
Everything is fresh and house made, from the natural sourdough crust with no commercial yeast, to the simple and superb sauce. The cheese was especially delicious and the whole pizza comes together so deliciously that it could come from a high end restaurant.
That's because the chef/owner previously worked in high end fine dining and is obsessed with making the best -- and he does! He's justifiably proud of his work and will happily explain his process and let you watch your pizza cook in his portable wood-fired oven.
The menu includes specials or a choose-your-own topping choice starting at $11.
Each pizza is generously sized and enough for two unless you want leftovers, which you do!
There's an outdoor table and stools so you can enjoy it hot out of the wood fired oven.
all together a delightful experience and pizza you will want to return for!
TIP: Call before you go to make sure he's there. Sometimes, such as on especially hot days, he chooses not to set up. But he always answers his phone, so you can also order in advance (though the pizza takes only about three minutes to cook in his 700 degree oven.
Parking: At night you can park in the Bank of America parking lot“

“I tried these guys for the first time at a food festival and knew I needed them for my wedding. Who needs cake when you can have churros?? Could not recommend them highly enough for any of your event needs. All my guests were raving about how good they were. Easy communication and delicious food. Would hire them again anytime - thanks Briant and team!!“

“He flipped the tortillas using a painters putty knife, made the taco by holding the tortilla in his hand and grabbed the meat with it - using it like a tortilla glove. They let us take as much onion, cilantro, sauce, etc, as we wanted. $2 per taco. What more could you people possibly want. Stop reading this review and go get your taco immediately.“

“This is one of my first true loves as far as tacos go. My favorite al pastor in LA by a long shot. They handmake and press their own corn tortillas right in front of you. IMO the queso tacos are the highlight — pair that with the al pastor and the pineapple and you will also fall in love.
Aside from the pastor, all of their meat options will do you justice — I particularly like the cabesa, but be careful pairing the rich & fatty meats with the queso taco — it can be fatty overload if you have one too many.
Angel’s potato is extremely slept on.
Parking: There’s a parking lot directly behind the taco stand where everyone parks“

“What are you doing here reading this if you're thinking about going to Smorgasburg? Are you reading this wondering what to do on a Sunday morning? Just go! Great food, super sweet L.A. vibes, music, great coffee. My personal recommendation? Try the misubi.“
“This was our 2nd time going and it did not disappoint. I had 3 chorizo tacos & esquites. Seriously, so good. My fiancé had the same things that I did. He loved his food, too. We, also, bought the churros with Nutella fort mom. She's never had Nutella before this. The churros smells so good. The churros came with a cute little jar of Nutella. My mom loved the churros and Nutella. We cannot wait to go back.“
“I already love oysters but when you have them freshly shucked at the farmers market I become an excited little kid. I saw them at the Hollywood farmers market and I couldn't stop myself from having some fresh oysters for lunch.Food: At $2 an oyster, I had five different types: kumamoto, kusshi, shigoku, blonde, and minter sweet. They had more variety but I only wanted five at that time. To be honest I didn't even know there were so many different kinds of oysters. I preferred my oysters on the sweeter side instead of salty so he recommended these five kinds. I liked all of them and I think I liked the sweetest ones the most, although I've forgotten the names. I think it was the blonde and minter sweet ones. You can always just ask one of the guys about it.Service: The oyster boys were very friendly and eager to help out. They really try to give you the type of oyster they think you would enjoy based on what you usually like.“
“Yummiest fried chicken and spuds with a variety of sauces from mild to hotter than hot. The baked desserts are amazing.“

“I love the food here, it tastes very authentic. Sometimes the dishes can be on the smaller side, the portion varies when I'm here (and I come usually once a week) but I use that as an excuse to get two. My favorites: rad na, pad Thai, pad see ew, and papaya salad. All excellent. Each dish is $10. And the warm polite smiling demeanor, just like in Thailand. They aren't here on Wednesdays, even though Google says they are, I made the mistake twice and was very hungry and upset to find them not open.“

“This is a congregation of street vendors selling Guatemalan food Straight out of shopping carts and other put together apparatus, Which gives it a very authentic South American feel. The food also taste authentic. I was a little bit surprised at the cost and it seemed to have a tourist fee Built-in. Worth a visit if you Ve never tried before however I don't think I would go back.“
“La Raza Foods is a great commissary. I have worked with them for over a decade and it's been a great experience. Not only is the yard HUGE (over 200+) trucks, but they also have a warehouse on site to do your daily shopping and a propane station as well so you don't have to go anywhere else to fill up.“

“Way better tacos than Leo's tacos. Their chicken tacos were so well marinated and juicy. Their salsas were so flavorful and they were very kind. Please take care of my people here and tip them extra so they stick around for a long time. Oh, and the pastor was dangerously delicious as well. Highly recommend ??“
“I have been eating this food every Saturday for 4 years now and i can tell you right now the consistency has not changed, the hot sauce is always on point! The variety of meat is a good selection, they added tortas and some other dishes I don't recall. Always get the steak/ cabeza burrito with no rice. You wont regret it, if you get steak add cheese. Good luck always try to mix and match combinations can surprise you“

“Finally there’s a street taco spot in the neighborhood! A very welcomed addition. You can see the Al Pastor when you pass by, but what you might not see is their giant pot of simmering meat filled with carnitas, asada and tripe. For $10 you can get a hearty burrito filled with your meat of choice + rice and beans. Their rice and beans are heavenly, full of flavor. I always get an extra side of rice to go.Tacos are 2-3 bites big and you can choose from lots of toppings to add yourself. They have a nice selection of roasted hot red salsa, it tasted smoked it’s so good. There’s a green tomatillo salsa that’s bomb. Their guacamole sauce is not thin and watery, it’s super creamy and flavorful. They’re getting more popular in the neighborhood! The other day they ran out by 10PM so don’t come at the end of the night expecting a full menu.I can get an asada quesadilla, 6 tacos and a plate of rice for $25 with all the extra toppings included.Remember to tip these guys, they work hard!!“

“Holy moly, my new favorite taco spot. Been meaning to try them for ages, and was finally hungry enough on my way home from the cinematheque. Here’s to extraordinary art house cinema followed by extraordinary tacos.
The Al Pastor was ON POINT. It’s rare to find authentic pastor outside of DF and this is IT. As I sat by the parking lot, getting an accidental whiff of gasoline, it was almost like being back in El Defectuoso!!! Carnitas was good too, but the moist kind, rather than the crispy kind I truly love. But the meat was PILED HIGH on both tacos and the salsa bar ample and luscious. Avocado salsa!!! Don’t walk, run.“

“I almost don’t want to promote this place because it’s so good that I want to keep it to myself. That being said, Chef Francisco deserves all the praise he’s already received and more. The food here is one of the best example of fresh seafood you’ll find anywhere in California, let alone LA. Every dish is thoughtfully prepared, with nice additions and twists to make it interesting. The shrimp aguachile is something I would gladly eat every day, but the fresa ceviche is a dish I will randomly think about. Order both and enjoy, but try to keep it somewhat of a secret, ok? ?“
“"Kai The Guy" Listen.......the food is always amazing and on top of that what takes this experience over the top is having Kai and Jose on the truck together running things!!! Great friendly customer service and the wait time is not bad considering that it's cook to order. Always a pleasure having them at Clinch Memorial Hospital!! Superb job guys!!!“

“These are hands down the best tacos I’ve had in LA. And I’ve had a lot of tacos in the country. Plus for the price (2 bucks a taco), you can’t beat eating this stuff. Highly recommend for any locals of the areas. We got the chicken, pastor, and asada. All a recommend, and you can load up on your own toppings, def get the onions and jalapeño if you love spice.“

“Good Tacos and good taste. I gave it 4 stars because they have way too much fat and gristle. I've eaten tacos that don't allow that mu h fat and gristle to be added and they go down way more smooth. Also, the meat quality is not the best.“

“The reason life is full of blessings and provides you with the will to live is because of these burritos and quesadillas. Your life will feel whole once these delicious Mexican recipes grace your palate—a piece you have been lacking since you were a young child. Although You should be aware that this is not an appropriate place to go on a first date because your date will fall in love with the food instead of you and wouldn't talk to you again unless you came here. To sum up, this Mexican restaurant is not to be taken lightly and ought to be regarded as one of the world's best five-star restaurants ?“

“Had a great hot dog here tonight with friends. Totally hit the spot. Very clean setup and nicely priced. Nothing fancy. I also love his big dog (German shepherd?) who chills in the corner and greets people. Dude who runs the stand is very cool. Worth stopping by after hitting the clubs.“
