Was out visiting family and took them here cause I saw it on Happy Cow. Glad we came! Everyone loved it. We had the breakfast burrito, burger, one of the bowls, and some snacks from their take-away/prepared snack section. Updated from previous review on 2025-12-14

The coffee is good but it's very expensive for a random place in queens.
My issue is that they list being open at 7am but are rarely actually open before my train at 7:15

I’ve been here a few times and love the plethora of organic and plant-based options. The interior is clean, bright, and modern and the place always seems lively even in the middle of the week. That being said my last experience here was not satisfactory. I stopped in to pickup two smoothies at around 2pm and the cashier who originally took my order was pleasant and seemed grateful that I had tipped, telling me to let her know if I needed anything at all. I waited for ten minutes before asking another employee now at the register (who saw me and continued talking to a coworker first before finally addressing me) if there was an update on my order because ten minutes seems a little long for two identical smoothies. She said she would check the kitchen and came back to tell me they were still working on it. I waited another 6 minutes before the smoothies finally came out. Therefore, almost $40 ($16 per smoothie + tip) and 20 minutes later, I finally walked out of there wishing I had just gone to Jamba Juice instead. Safe to say I won’t be coming here again as it is grossly overpriced, the service is slow, and not all of the staff seem to provide good customer service. Not to mention, the “matchacita” smoothie tasted nothing like matcha. Sorry, I really wanted to like this place.

Joi is so so good! Fresh, healthy, vegan. I like balance in my diet, Joi Cafe counters all the other crap I eat through out the week! I highly recommend a lunch there, grab a smoothie and enjoy the atmosphere!

Lovely staff and good vibes. Tried the iced matcha Latte with oat milk, bagel sandwich, breakfast burrito, and a vanilla glazed donut. The sauce (maple sriracha aioli) for the bagel sandwich was very tasty and complimented the burrito well too. They also have a full vegan coffee/matcha menu, smoothie menu, and sell rebel vegan cheeses and a variety of pastries and desserts!

Had an allergic reaction (cashews) due to miscommunication but the (I'm assuming) owner gave me a refund and said he loved my Earth Crisis Shirt. Good "health-focused" food even if it is pretty expensive. Just be careful if you have nut allergies.

Superb food well prepared only problem was it’s too pricey and the drive from our home is 25 minutes each way

JOi Café in Westlake Village is hands down one of the best vegan restaurants I’ve ever been to—and I’ve been to plenty! Everything here is vibrant, fresh, and absolutely packed with flavor. The Macro Salad is a must-try. It’s a beautiful medley of tofu, red cabbage, shredded carrots, spinach, cucumber, avocado, and a dreamy turmeric tahini dressing that ties it all together perfectly. I added a side of their vegan tuna (made with chickpeas and magic, I swear), and it was next-level delicious. My other favorite is the Taco Tacos—a hearty and colorful combo of jackfruit, cabbage, corn tortillas, and guacamole, served with a fresh fruit side. They’re flavorful, satisfying, and super clean. The café itself is immaculate, with a calming vibe and a staff that clearly cares about quality and service. If you’re looking for clean, organic, plant-based food that leaves you feeling energized and happy, JOi Café is the place. This is a true gem just north of Los Angeles! ⸻ Would you like a version tailored for Yelp or Google Reviews as wel
