Still bomb, the og spot
I stop by here for a quick bite since I was hungry and in a hurry and I didn't expect much of the food to be good but I was actually shocked that the food was actually really delicious, the chicken in general was very crispy and the sauce was quite addictive. I will definitely return next time when I am in this area again!
To everyone complaining that the restaurant is called “$1.99” but nothing costs $1.99 anymore—go give yourself a quick history lesson. 😄 The name is a nod to its humble beginnings, just like the 99 Cents Only Store or Dollar Tree, whose names stuck around even after inflation changed prices.
