I got the grilled chicken plate and she got the lamb. I was pleasantly surprised at the low prices. Everything was hot and tasty. Service was friendly and fast. I would definitely recommend this place.

Akwaba Restaurant offers authentic African cuisine, providing a clean and spacious environment with good music. The menu includes favorites like Egusi soup, plantains, and ginger juice. The staff is polite and the food is prepared fresh, making it worth the wait. Known for the best West African food in the US, this restaurant is a gem for those seeking a genuine culinary experience.
Customers praise the attentive service and delicious dishes like the whole red snapper, jollof rice, and grilled chicken. However, some have experienced issues with the food temperature, tenderness, and wait times, especially when the restaurant is busier. Vegetarian options are limited. Overall, Akwaba Restaurant provides a unique and flavorful African dining experience, though improvements in efficiency and menu diversity could enhance the customer experience.
