First time trying Sudanese food and I had a terrific experience. The kind woman at the counter helped me choose a dish, the lamb, which ended up being delicious. The lamb was served over rice which had tons of flavor and made me want more. I also ordered Sudanese baklava and it was delicate and sweet. She also threw in a free hibiscus drink that was a pleasant surprise. I cannot wait to go back and try more.
On my way to Denver from the airport, I stopped by Mango House (an awesome place in and of itself with multiple unique cuisines offered - check out the origin story and art on the walls!) because I was craving Burmese food. However, having never tried Sudanese before, and with the lure of their especially intriguing menu, I made the best food decision of my week-long Colorado trip. Delicious food, and the staff were so kind and helpful! I highly recommend the tabaldi drink and, if you can eat peanuts and like your food with a nice, balanced spicy kick, the chicken agashi was wonderful!
