Centennial Buffet at Ameristar Black Hawk

The stations weren't ready for some areas and it was almost an hour already open. I was solo at my table but took 10+ minutes before my transfer was brought. The line to the buffet is unnecessarily long because the system to get people to pay or use coupons is sooo slow.

First off the waitress was AMAZING now unfortunately when I called about the crab legs I had asked is it all you can eat they said YES I also asked can kids go they said YES apon arriving there let me tell you it's a LONG WAYS UP THERE ON A 2 LANE ROAD anyways when we got there you have to check in for any kids under 21 they have to CARRY around a paper card that they checked in with security now when we got to the BUFFET it's NOT ALL YOU CAN EAT it's 1 pound of crab legs only 3 claws free then about 10$ for any additional crab also the other food wasn't the best but was alright

I won a free buffet here so guess I can't complain too much. Let's just say I'm glad I didn't pay for this. Food is well below golden corral quality for above $50.

The food at the buffet was terrible. The price is ridiculous. I’m not sure if some of the meats were really meat. Very tasteless. Even the desert selection is very limited and the best part of the meal.

I'm sorry to say, but the food & beverage management team is abusive throughout this establishment.

Horrible food, they barely have any options of food. Simply just disgusting was charged an awful amount for this type of quality of food, there was hardly people in line and they took a long time to attend, extremely slow. Please do not waste your money at this horrible buffet!

The first set of crab I got was not good as it probably was seating there for a while and it was not easy to take the meat out. The second set was better. Adult Buffet comes with 1 lb crab at $48.99 per person plus tax.The lady at the front though lied telling us that soda is included and upon seeing the receipt, she charged $4 each for the drink.

No value here. The food was not great.When I called before coming, the woman on the phone told me it was all you can eat crab legs. You actually only get one serving, and the crab legs were not good.For the price of the buffet ($50) it just isn't worth it. It has more than doubled in price.None of the other food was very good either, more like cafeteria food than a good casino buffet. Not worth the price paid, especially considering they limit the amount of crab you get. The prime rib was overcooked, the taco bar was bland, the whole thing was lacking.The food at Ameristar in general has gone way down hill. Considering how good the buffet is at the Monarch and the lodge I probably won't return to this one. The other food options here are also lacking, both the fireside and timberline.My advice to the establishment would be to replace the food and beverage manager with someone who knows what they are doing. This is just pathetic.The service was good, but it's a buffet.The wait to get in was over 30min.Overall a very disappointing experience for $190 for three, after tip. It's a $25 buffet at best.
