Incredible food and owner, highly recommended.
Some of the best Taiwanese food I've ever had and I've lived in San Francisco, NYC and Chicago. The food is cooked from scratch and with love. Everything we've had has been perfect.
I recommend calling the shop and letting them know when you'll be there. The owner and chef is just lovely.

The owner, a seasoned chef from Taiwan, manages the place mostly alone, handling orders, cooking, and packing, which can sometimes make her seem overwhelmed during busy times. The restaurant used to be part of the Formosa restaurant on the hill, but it closed after the land was used to build a hotel. Visitors recommend ordering ahead for pickup, especially for homemade meals to go. The place might be a little hard to find, situated behind what looks like a food truck depot area, but it’s worth seeking out for its tasty offerings.
