“Came here upon the recommendation of our tour guide from Arkansas river tours. Great little place for burgers, fries and shakes at a decent price. Very simple. Ketchup, mustard, pickle, and onion. No lettuce or tomato. Service was quick. Then you just go up to pay and tell them what you had and they find your ticket. Takes both cash and credit.”

Any pizza we’ve tried rates a solid five stars: crispy crust, balanced toppings, and quality produce you can taste.

Extras matter here, too: insane garlic with bread, a side salad lifted by a bright, herb-forward Italian dressing, and a cloud-soft tiramisu that leaves just enough espresso on the finish. Portions lean generous (even larger at dinner), and every dish arrives hot and undeniably fresh.

We treat ourselves to DiRito’s about once a month and have never had a miss. If you’re looking for authentic flavor, consistency, and real value, this is the place—count us in for many return visits.”

“I hesitate to post about this place because the food is really good and I don't want to have to wait for a table in the future if this place becomes really popular. The chef is top notch for a small town like Canyon City. The service is excellent as well. It is however not the cleanest but what Chinese restaurant ever is. If you like savory foods then the egg foo young is the way to go. If you like sweet Foods then try the Sesame beef with white rice. Also the ribs are delectable. They also have really good Jasmine tea.”

“My mom and I went here a few years ago and stumbled across Nirvana Culinary Paradise, a lovely restaurant serving Indian cuisine located in the heart of Cañon City, Colorado. The food here is absolutely amazing and even that’s an understatement. After taking my first spoonful of savory curry consisting of a variety of exquisite flavors, I instantly felt a wave of relief wash over me. For the first time in my life, I felt alive. I wasn’t simply existing at this point, but I was experiencing happiness in its truest form. Imagine being abandoned by your tour group in the wilderness all because you left a trail of snacks behind the group to almost get mauled by a very hungry grizzly bear. Now you’re lost, afraid, and the coldest you’ve ever been. The next few days, you see the first car since the tour group left you in the boonies to die. A sweet, elderly woman with grandma vibes rolls down her window and offers you a lift. You are alone and have no other options or place to go, so you accept her offer. She brings you to her quaint, peaceful home and wraps you up in a cozy plush blanket. You feel warmth not only on your skin, but in your heart. You feel safe. You feel comfort. You feel unconditional love. That’s the same feeling you will get from Nirvana Culinary Paradise.”

“Went on vacation an stumbled upon this lil dive bar.... if you like a good dive you'll like it here! Clean. Regularsweree very friendly and nice, felt welcomed. The 2 bartender I had brandi and I'm horrible with names(sorry!!) the other girl right b4 shift change were very friendly and tentative They have a nice small outdoor back area with 2 gas fireplaces. I Didn't have food but it smelt good. Very small place an not much of parking is the 2 downfalls but w e.”

“My first time to Cafe Belay, and I’m blown away!!! I couldn’t decide between a lavender oat milk latte or a chai….so buy recommendation from the awesome barista I got a small in both!!! I’m in actual heaven these are amazing!!!! Lavender is made in house and so is the chai!!!! Do not drive by Cafe Belay without stopping!”

“My wife and I enjoyed the VIP Wine Tasting this weekend to celebrate Father's Day. Quaint location next to Holy Cross Abbey and tucked away in Canon City. We were treated to a wonderful charcuterie board and 17 different wines. Our host was knowledgeable and yet allowed us space to enjoy the wine and quiet.”

“Today as "newish" residents of Cañon, was our 2nd time at Happy Endings, and our good impressions were equal to our first. Beginning with Rae's greeting and attention to detail both for our order and comfort. She checked on us at perfect intervals and brought Cynthia, the chef, to meet us when we complimented our meals, from presentation to flavor. Cynthia told us a little about how she and the small crew which included Joe, turn out "miracles" on their small grill housed in the kitchen. In addition, we each took half of our breakfast sandwich and southwest wrap home for later! We'll be back for thirds and more!”
