“This was our very first time visiting Rib & Chop, and Father’s Day felt like the perfect occasion to surprise my dad with finally getting to try it after mentioning it for some time. Unfortunately, while parts of our experience were great, several issues made it less than ideal. ⭐️ The Highlights: First and foremost, our server Max was absolutely SUPERB—kind, attentive, quick, and knowledgeable. The hostess (whose name I sadly didn’t catch) was also wonderful—gracious, helpful, and quick to step in when needed. Their service was ABOVE AND BEYOND was definitely a bright spot of our visit! ⸻ 🚫 The Not-So-Great: Spilling Incident: Another server (a woman with a low bun and a neck tattoo) brought out our appetizers. While handing a plate to my dad, she accidentally knocked over his beer, which spilled all over my mom and caused quite a scene as my mom yelped from how cold the drink was and drenched she became in it. I understand trying to joke about it to lighten the mood even though my mom was clearly upset, uncomfortable, and soaking wet, but the server had the AUDACITY to BLAME IT ALL ON MY DAD! And NOT ONCE DID SHE APOLOGIZE!! THAT was what upset us the most and made this experience unsettling. Max, even though he wasn’t involved and likely didn’t witness the spill, rushed over immediately, apologized profusely, and helped clean up. His professionalism surpassed that of the other server. Mistakes happen—but failing to take responsibility in a service role is disappointing. We seriously considered boxing up our meals and leaving, but my mom encouraged us to stay. Manager Ryan came by while I was in the restroom and apparently apologized and offered to cover the cost of my mom’s dry cleaning. ⸻ Bathroom Issue: While my mom was in the restroom for over 20 minutes trying to clean herself up, I also needed to use the restroom—only to find no toilet paper in either stall. I asked two separate staff members over the course of 10–15 minutes, but no one responded quickly. Finally, the hostess walked by while asking the final employee, and she immediately turned around to handle it herself. She apologized sincerely, and I truly appreciated her urgency and kindness. ⸻ 🍽 Food Feedback: • Steak: I requested medium, but it was served well done and tough. Thankfully, Max noticed and had it remade right away. The second steak was fantastic—juicy, tender, and cooked perfectly. • Rice: Both of my parents ordered the wild rice, but it tasted burnt, like it came from the bottom of the pot… • Appetizers: We tried the Bang’n Salmon and the crab-stuffed mushrooms—both were flavorful and well-seasoned. • Entrees at the table included: • Surf & Turf • Turf & Turf with ribs • Chicken Broccoli Alfredo • Brown Sugar Salmon We also decided to try the carrot soufflé, which is now my dad’s new favorite dish. ⸻ 👏 Final Impressions: At the end of our meal, another manager, Chase, stopped by to speak with us. Despite being new to management, he handled the conversation with poise, professionalism, and genuine care. He informed us that our entire bill had been taken care of, which we were deeply grateful for. ⸻ Overall: While the drink spill incident cast a shadow over our visit, Max, the hostess, and both managers genuinely did their best to turn things around. Some food items were a hit, others missed the mark. I’m not sure the rest of my family will be back anytime soon, but if Max is working, I might give Rib & Chop another try.“

“We have been twice now and the food and drinks were fabulous each time! Their $10 enchiladas suizas were delicious! The drinks are yummy and the chips and salsa flow freely. The pork rinds came out crackling. Their green chili is delish!“

“Fun little dive rock bar on same block as their sister club The Black Sheep, great drink prices and cool bartenders. They have open mic night, new bands playing their first gigs (maybe their first and last lol) and different music events happening almost every night per their schedule for the month. I like the joint.“

“I would vote six stars if I could!! This is a great find and I highly recommend a stop! The staff was fun and friendly. There is a great vibe here with eclectic decor and beautiful chandeliers. It was giving Adams family. They've got great comfortable furniture in cozy settings to accommodate either a couple on a date night or a group of friends. They have 6 fire pits out front. We got on a wait list for fire pit seating which only took about 10 minutes. They do allow cigar smoking on the patio. They had some super fun and delicious cocktails and a wonderful assorted dessert plate! My photos do not do this justice to the stunning interior. Stop in and see for yourself!!“

“What a great spot. Stopped here out of the blue and loved it. It was on a Thursday night around 10:00 p.m., and it was not that busy, but there was a handful of people in there. It was karaoke night. We were just stopping in for a quick drink, so we didn't stay long to see if it got busier. There were about eight or so pool tables, and the bartender said they're leaning more towards pool hall. It did have a stage, but she also said that they don't do live bands anymore. Just the karaoke. Very clean, pleasant and good atmosphere. If you don't like loud music, that might bother you the music was very loud.“

“Absolutely loved our evening hanging out at Seven’s Gate. Been a long time, fan and visitor of Cerebus across the street, but had never made it over to Seven’s Gate until this evening. They were doing a fundraiser for Manitou Springs pride, and we were met with welcoming, smiles, tasty, beer, and amazing service from Kara. We didn’t get to try any of the food… But that will be a first on the next visit. Highly recommend visiting any time of the week, if you want to stop by for a chill atmosphere and good vibes. Will definitely be back!“

“I brought a group here to bowl. It was a last minute decision and they could accommodate 12 of us.

They staff is young, but friendly. We got set up on a couple of lanes and had loads of problems. But, they handled it well. They tried to get the lanes fixed and when they couldn't, they moved us and restarted our time. Then, we were sent over a large pan of nachos. A sweet gesture of goodwill.

The alley itself doesn't appear to be oiled so if you are a bowler, use a house ball. Trust me. LOL Straight ball, or curve, its going in the gutter until you use the house ball.

There was no food/drink service our entire time, save for the free nachos, and some of my group was annoyed because they had to go to the bar, but, all in all we had a great time and the staff did their best to make good the situation.

I wouldn't join a bowling league here, but to come for a night out with friends, sure.“

“Went for Valetines day and was very disappointed. We booked with the manager herself and was told if we did not show we would be charged. We arrived and had to wait 90 plus minutes and they cared less. Beware they added a 3% mandatory hospitality fee and a 20% mandatory gratuity. All in all, they persuaded us not to return. 100% focus seemed to be on the business thier profits and minimal to us the patrons. We cued in the waiting area with others who also seemed to be waiting like us for thier over selling.“
