Our service was really slow and we came for lunch. It took us 30 minutes to get oysters. Then our bill was wrong by $30 OK and another table had a similar Bill tires and he checked ours out. It was more important to me that we made it right which the restaurant manager did.
This place is fabulous and a MUST! My husband and I were visiting from Ca. and were looking for a place to eat, we heard Jax was really good but thought “fresh seafood in Colorado?” so we went there for dinner just to check it out and the atmosphere was so cool inside and busy which was a good sign so we got 2 seats at the bar and ordered: 1 dz fresh oysters 4 BBQ'd oysters Calamari 2 Lobster deviled eggs Seafood gumbo Chocolate cake ala mode Oh My Gosh, everything was...
We had a really nice lunch at Jax, the oysters were really good, not their fault if we didn't like one of our choices. My charred Salmon Salad was quite good, my husbands seafood chowder was good, the fish done right but it did have too much salt. That's the only reason we didn't give it a five. I have to give Carter our server 5 stars for his service, so congenial! We won't likely be back in Colorado Springs for a while but if we are we will definitely go...
