“We visited Seven Falls today and were running late, so we had skipped breakfast. After checking out the scenic views, we stumbled upon 1858 and originally went in just to grab some hot chocolate after seeing the sign outside. Once inside, we noticed they served food, decided to roll the dice, and we’re so glad we did.

I ordered the bison burger, my wife got the tomato/tortilla soup, and my daughter ordered the chicken nuggets with fruit. All three meals were excellent. I usually don’t like onions on my burger, but this one was so well done it didn’t bother me at all. My wife talked about her soup for the rest of the day, which is always a good sign. And my daughter’s chicken wasn’t typical nuggets; it was sliced chicken breast strips and really high quality.

The service was truly top tier. Sydney, our server, was incredibly kind and had fantastic customer service skills. We mentioned that we were on a tight schedule to get to our next stop, and she even arranged a cart to pick us up and take us to the shuttle drop-off area. That level of care really stood out.

The food and service were so good that the automatic 20% gratuity didn’t bother me at all. I actually added another 20% on top of it. Overall, a great experience and a highlight of our day.“

“I happened on this restaurant while hiking up the Seven Falls trail. Wha a fantastic find! The staff was very friendly and helpful, food was outstanding (I had the Western Slope Trout, with the Gold Pannery drink - both I would definitely order again!!), and the atmosphere was super charming. * I would be a mess if I did not mention for those who do not know this is more expensive option for casual dining. I got half-and-half, which was a sandwich and a salad and my bill was over $20…… I won’t complain because I came here for quality and that’s just what I got, so yes you have to pay for it.
I am not complaining, just within reason I can’t eat hair as often as I like.
