My friends & I had a lovely time up at Restaurant 1858. We sat outside right by the waterfall; it's one of the most beautiful scenic places I've eaten at. The weather was great, the soothing sound of the waterfall in the background added a nice touch during our girls lunch. The food was delicious & the drink we ordered that's in the picture below was fantastic!! The inside of the restaurant is nicely well done, cozy & cute. This is a perfect destination for any and all occasions!
Food good, Service just okay, Kitchen did well, but Expeditor / Food Server terrible. Our table of 10 had 6 bison burger orders, each custom, he didn't get one right. But they tasted great!!
We had a 6:45p reservation (their last one for the evening) and the hostess helped us get outdoor seating with a little added wait! Listening to the falls and rushing water on a covered porch was an awesome environment. I had the local Colorado Rocky Mountain Red Trout served the Western Slope way - almond granola crusted with palisade peach chutney - and a Moonshine Mule made with locally produced, award-winning 291 Fresh Moonshine Whiskey.
