“Vegan options are amazing. Food is delicious. Lemonade was delicious and made fresh. We will definitely try their marinated tofu next visit. It is one of my now top two vegan restaurants in Colorado. Great atmosphere, amazing customer service, and the manager is so friendly and helpful. Great for family time or time alone or with friends.Dietary restrictions: Vegan options also. They will change up the menu for your current diet. Very convenient.Kid-friendliness: From the manager to all of the employees are very helpful and friendly.Wheelchair accessibility: Door seem big enough to accommodate entry, and they can move chairs to place you at a table.“
“Decent American food and fusion. There is happy hour but the portion to price ratio isn’t great, so if you are really trying to do happy hour and get full for your meal, go somewhere else. It’s a small place. The decora are hipster. Our waiter was good but the guy that sat us was… not really excited about his work? We had to wait a while before waiter even greeted us, and so did others, but I understand when they’re short staffed“
“My husband and I had dinner here the night we got married and it was an absolutely amazing experience! All of the staff were lovely along with the food. They gave us menus that said “Congratulations!” and a fresh rose as well. Best steak I’ve ever had! Will 1000% be going back and recommending to everyone I know :)“
“We go here probably 3-4 times a year. We always get exceptional service and wonderful food. Carlos and all the staff are warm and welcoming and attentive. Do not listen to the one star reviews. People will complain about everything and anything. This place is the best!“
“We passed this place all the time never knew what it was but the parking lot is always full. We intentionally stopped to get the name of the restaurant. The following weekend we stopped in. Now this is our breakfast spot on the weekend! Food has always been great!“
“I am visiting from PA and came here on the recommendation of family. The food and drinks were fantastic. I had the red curry bowl, french pressed coffee, the resurant created seasonal kombucha, and seven layer dip. The flavors were delightful. I am extremely impressed with the vegan creamer and vegan sour creams used. My brother-in-law really loved the restaurant brewed ginger bear and his dish also. I would highly recommend this place if you're in the area.Vegetarian options: The restaurant is entirely vegan.Dietary restrictions: They asked up front if there were any dietary restrictions or allergies.“
“We enjoyed our time at The Lazy Dog for lunch on Saturday, we decided to go for Sunday brunch the next day. The food is amazing. The menu is diverse and packed with fantastic options. If you can't find something to eat here, you are broken! We will go back when we are in town again. And kudos to Sara for the most excellent bloody Marys!“
“I love Bad Daddys! They have great food and a wonderful wait staff! Nikki was an amazing server and was fun to hang out with during our visit! Highly reccomend the green chili cheese tots and the nac and cheese. For drinks I reccomend the Bad Betty.“
“We had the best service I have had in a long time. Our server went Above and beyond. Annalisa was so fantastic, she was kind attentive, great with my children, just wonderful. Because of her service this will be the Urban Egg I return to every time.“
“Some of the best tacos I have had in Colorado Springs. The birria tacos are crunchy and have awesome flavor, and the consome elevates the experience. I had an al pastor taco and it was ok, had decent flavor. I had a barbacoa taco and it was very dry bit tasted good. All the tacos are stuffed with meat making them a great value. My wife had the menudo and she said it was ok. I tried the horchata, it was too sweet and made with less milk (maybe none). The salsas are provided for your tacos: green, red, and habenero. The habenero was our favorite since it had spice and good flavor. Great hours and friendly staff. Will definitely come back for those birria tacos!“
“Fun little spot with great barbecue. Accommodating to gluten free diets, if needed. They also have live music and a nice patio area. Our server was very friendly and attentive. Hearty portion sizes with a wide variety of options.Dietary restrictions: They have gluten free buns and notify on the menu that you can request items be made gluten free“
“My husband has always loved the shrimp fries with flamingo sauce, but I got a catfish/shrimp plate and holy smokes - that shrimp is the most amazing thing I think I've ever had. The catfish was delicious too, but the fried shrimp is out of this world. 200/10 would recommend the menu, but especially the fried shrimp. Did I mention the fried shrimp??“
“A wonderful location and family running this little bistro/catering establishment. This little restaurant is pretty disarming for a reviewer. The moment you enter the establishment you realize it is an intimate family affair. The husband appears to run the front of the house and his wife (Susanna) creates in the kitchen. They are very sweet, endearing and the service was top notch from beginning to end. Their pricing is very surprising for what you receive, making this easily one of the the best bangs for your buck in all of downtown. The atmosphere is light and airy, the music was playing at the perfect volume and it was comfortable inside on a cold winter evening. My only minor critique would be it is the lighting is a little too bright with all the white walls and ceilings. Some amount of dimming would add a helping of warmth that would simply close the deal on their dining space.Their cocktail menu is better curated than many places downtown and as discussed above their pricing is amazing (not to mention their happy hour specials). You are getting crafty cocktails for nearly 30% less than you would at dozens of other places downtown. The two traditional old fashions we ordered were excellent, while the Mezcal based old fashioned, orange blossom martini and daiquiri were each a little overdone. Going a little overboard with the Mezcal made the Mexican themed old fashioned overly smoky, the orange blossom martini had a smidge too much vermouth and the daiquiri was overly sweet due to a touch too much syrup.Onto the meal. For me, the highlight was our appetizer. We ordered the Caprese salad with the charcuterie supplemental for 2 people. The Caprese was incredible, the use of blood orange infused olive oil is a stroke of genius. The charcuterie selection was also excellent with a generous Burrata, multiple meats, cheese, olives and fruit. This came out with bread rolls and naan along with some herbed butter, hummus and more olives. With two things changed this could have been one of the best charcuterie boards I’ve ever had. First the Burrata was served cold. While I prefer a warm Burrata, even room temp is acceptable, but when cold it really impacts the depth of its flavor. The second was related to the bread/crackers served with the board. It appeared we were given, what all patron’s receive as complimentary, which is a basket of dinner rolls and few pieces of naan. While these accompany the hummus (which was clearly homemade and amazing) and herbed butter it didn’t really support the charcuterie offerings all that well. A few Crostini, gourmet crackers or simply grilled sliced bread with a little olive oil would have made a huge difference when consuming the meats, cheeses and accoutrements on the board.Next entrees. My wife had the fettuccine Bolognese and it was excellent all around and the dollop of ricotta was a nice touch. I had the evening special, which was Steak Au Poivre with three gulf shrimp. I ordered the steak medium and it came out as a pretty thin cut of tenderloin, which was a bit of a surprise as opposed to the more traditional 1" medallion. I think the consequence of this was it was cooked closer to medium well, but it was still very tender. The sauce was what unfortunately hurt this dish. The brandy or Cognac used in the sauce was not completely cooked off, so I ended up with an alcohol taste off the back end of each bite. The dill coated gulf shrimp, mashed potatoes and asparagus were prepared perfectly. And finally dessert. They have many tempting options, but the waffle with peanut butter ice cream ended up being amazing and a great one to split.I’m nitpicking a little in this review, but it was a continuous theme from our first of what will be many experiences here and they are inches away from excellence in executing all aspects of their menu. With a little fine tuning, there is no reason they shouldn’t be a fixture downtown for years to come. Support small business!“
“They have a great selection of every article of clothing. I came here to get clothes for work, but they have a lot of things I would wear for every day, too. They tend to be kind of pricey, but that's not the fault of the store. The flex firehose cargo pants with the curvesetter waistband are worth it, though. Friendly and helpful staff, especially Aubrey, who helped me out a lot with my dozens of questions and requests!“
“First time here, would come back in a heartbeat. Nice lil spot with awesome employees. "outta towners" on a busy nfl Sunday, limited seating, didn't hesitate to make room for us and serve us promptly. The House honey sriracha lime sauce is a must try! Bring your friends!“
“We were having a beer next door and they made it so easy to order from! I had the not so gringo pie and it was perfect. The fries were delicious as a side. Trying to find a reason to make it over to that side of town to try more off the menu!“
“Good food, as always. While the waiter did a fair job, he wasn't very talkative. When he did talk, he spoke really low and quietly. He stressed for us to make sure we filled out the information pertaining to his tip on the guest check. This isn't professional, pushing for his tip. Next time it happens, I will leave maybe half of what I normally tip or maybe nothing at all. It depends on how much the server pushes.“
“This place is a blast when it's full and the live music is going. But it's also nice and cozy feeling for a quiet lunch. Staff is always friendly, and food is always delicious. The whole place is a feast for the eyes and such a charming restaurant.“
“Went here for the first time. Was recommended by a friend! Food and service was amazing! Atmosphere was typical sports bar, which my husband and I really like. I had the fish and chips and my husband had the angry bird salad. Both were very enjoyable! Will definitely be back!“
“Love, love, love this place! Exactly what a cozy, neighborhood coffee shop should be. Delicious eats, a wide variety of coffees and teas, and warm, friendly service. It's a great place to pick up something tasty and quick to go. Even better, bunker down and enjoy a leisurely morning in a very welcoming environment. Your first visit won't be your last!“
“Josh is an amazing waiter who served us fantastic food! Everything on their menu sounded good, which is unusual for me. I got the 1/2 sandwich and salad, which was so good. I have no pictures because I ate most of it before I thought of this. But my husband ordered the Farmer's skillet hash and a tropical sunrise. Looked just like the pictures! Oh, and I ordered the mint mocha iced coffee....So good!“
“We are on a house hunting trip from Phoenix and stopped here to have a drink and lunch. The food here is phenomenal. Had gumbo and it was superb. Perfectly spiced and balanced with ample, sausage, peppers and the right amount of rice. Had sirracha and chipotle wings. The wings were smoked and then fried crispy. They were served with carrot sticks, and the dipping sauces, blue cheese and ranch, were homemade and absolutely delicious. Kerrin was our server and she too was great, attentive and helpful. Will definitely be back. Highly recommend this restaurant.“
“If I could give more stars I would. The atmosphere if fantastic. The bourbon is better. The service is like no other place I’ve ever experienced. The manager Kolby(not sure on spelling) was unbelievable. I’m from AZ but wish I was from here so I could come all the time!!!“
“Very interesting but charming hidden gem right off I25 and Woodman. I believe you have to make a reservation over the phone. Outstanding brunch menu, lots of different iterations of eggs Benedict. Would love to go back for dinner sometime.“
“I went there for the first time today. I drive by there a lot. l always thought it was a little deli that just made sandwiches, boy was I wrong. They have a great variety of different things. The food was delicious, and the staff was so friendly. We will definitely be making this our "go to" place in the future.“
“The atmosphere was “busy” with lines of people waiting to be seated. We got on the waitlist ahead of time and only waited about 20 minutes. Our food was delicious as always however our waitress was struggling. We waited on our drinks about 20 min and waited on a second Bloody Mary almost 30 min. They comped it but still took forever. Breakfast for three with tip…$100“
“We dined last night and everything was spectacular. From the minute we walked in the door to the moment we walked out was great. Service was very good and so professional. I got the scallops and my husband got the Steak Diane, both were great. It was hard to choose what to eat because everything was so good! We will definitely be back!“
“Awesome breakfast! Our drink was amazing! It was a pomegranate margarita, which was poured at our table... nice touch!I had the barbacoa chilaquiles... the red sauce tasted amazing!!My friend had the lemon blueberry French toast! What's not to love!?Plenty of parking... amazing service! Definitely going back for more soon!“
“The best we’ve had, hands down, while visiting for a week. We went twice. I don’t understand why the ratings on yelp are so bad, but steaks phenomenal, great atmosphere for family/kids. Ask for Stephan! Absolutely the best server we’ve ever had. Knows a lot about the menu and drinks. Would highly recommend. 10 stars!“
“Fantastic meal with great food and perfect service. Bartender made an amazing drink for me since I couldn't decide what I wanted. Just told her something with Bourbon and it was perfect. Music was just a little louder than I would like for a nice quiet meal.“
“I went there for my first time with friends for a retirement lunch. There was a very sweet vibe there as it's in a converted Victorian house. The service was adequate but not warm. They did everything they were suppose to but it was not that friendly. I guess I thought in a home environment it would be a little warm and fuzzy. I want to emphasize though the service was not bad. I had the club sandwich which was very good. It is not your traditional club though. It was a good sandwich cut in half with fresh ingredients. Two people in our party ordered a salad with salmon on it and they liked it very much. The fourth had the chicken quiche which she raved about. I had a cup of the onion soup, and the broth was excellent. I wish there was a bit more cheese but still quite good. We got dessert. We got one carrot cake and one creme Brule to share. They were ok. The carrot cake was substantial and very rich. The Brule was super tiny but pretty tasty. Two of us had sodas to drink. For four of us it was 87.00 for lunch. It was a nice outing. I feel like it was a bit pricy overall for the amounts of food given. Still it was a good place to eat overall.“
“HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Our server Mayanna was fantastic! Beers were unique and delicious, atmosphere was inviting and food was delicious... Highly recommend the "We Believe in Nothing" Hefe and the Smoked Brisket Grilled Cheese with Truffle Fries... And the Bacon Bites Small Plate.“
“Now THIS is the change our city needed for fine dining. I’m not sure what everyone else is charging for an experience like this but it is not a rip off, the food is high quality, great service, excellent food selection, entrees appealing to the eyes, you just feel at home. For those that think it isn’t better than the original ownership, you are incorrect. The menu is refined, classy, delicious and…you get treated like family. Love it!“
“Great place to have lunch or dinner, they have a great selection of wings, beer and other adult drinks. Sports bar feel with so many TV to watch your favorite sport or you could just look out the large windows and enjoy the moutain views near Garden of Gods.“
“Excellent food and courteous service. Black Bear Diner is a favorite! Hearty breakfasts available at all hours, including an excellent Denver Omelet and an innovative take on French Toast. The Chicken Fried Steak is amazing. If there's one thing I might ask for, it's a few more low-calorie options... but let's face it, portion control is only a problem for me because the food is SO DARN GOOD! Highly recommended.“
“We were here on Sunday April 14th after receiving terrible customer service at Longhorn Steakhouse. Texas Roadhouse got our party of 7 seated within 15-20 minutes! Customer service at the front was good, but our server was outstanding!! I wish I would remember the gentleman’s name. He made sure our drinks were full, food was hot, and he even entertained the kids in our party. We had a fantastic experience here and would return in a heartbeat!! Thank you!!!“
“My wife and I have road tripped over 100,000 miles together. We love to eat at little non-chain restaurants like this. Mountain Shadows is one of THE BEST we have ever eaten at. We ate there twice on our visit to CO Springs! Even with only two people waiting tables AND bussing, the service was amazing. Never felt forgotten about and they were friendly and personable. Will make a point to come here again anytime we come near Colorado Springs!“
“We ordered a take out, and we worried because everywhere you go sitting inside always tastes better. We were wrong about this place! The to go order we received was AMAZING.We got the pancake flight, strawberry shortcake pancakes, and bacon. Everything was amazing! The bacon was crispy, and flavorful. Our pancakes were fluffy, stacked with toppings and delicious!Highly recommend!“
“I love all the community engagements this location does! Thank you Renee for keeping the fun for all going! Plus of course the food is so amazing, even when I am there for 5 hours during an event I get hungry over and over because the SMELLS are so incredible! Also thank you for sponsoring the Indoor Family Halloween Festival 2023 with Connecting Communities at The SoccerHaus2:30pm-7:30pm and Connecting Communities looks forward to many many more opportunities with you all!“
“I kept reading online that the food at Waffle House wasn't good. Being from New York, since we don't have it I always wanted to try. Finally had the opportunity. Came around 11pm and sat ourselves, the waitress had politely taken our order and I was surprised how quickly we got our food. I got the all star special (waffle, eggs, toast, bacon, hash browns) I tried the strawberry waffle they had, it was all great. The cherry on top of the service was, the waitress told me she was going to bring out some new eggs for me without me even saying anything. Absolutely great service and the food was really good too. Breakfast 24hrs in a diner setting is a vibe I'd like to have access to whenever. Thanks for the fantastic first experience!“
“Great experience! Sit at the bar if you want the best time, fun friendly bartenders making some amazing cocktails are very entertaining. The coffee bean martinis, oh my, waaay toooo good. It's just a happy low key scene that's guaranteed to make your day. First place we'll go next time we're in the Springs.“
“We had a great dining experience. The food and service were excellent. The menu has a lot to offer food wise as well as a full bar. This restaurant is extremely clean as well as the restrooms. All in all, it is a great place, and we will most definitely be back. Highly recommend.“
“The best prime rib you will find in the springs. It's seasoned so well, comes with a delicious au jui and a truly amazing crust/bark.Honestly, the sides, salad and dinner roll are all just ok. Nothing special. The prime rib is the shinning masterpiece at this restaurant and it's genuinely one of the best things I have ever eaten.Atmosphere + service is nice. Prices are reasonable, what you would expect.“
“Carefree Bar and Grill is a great place! Locally owned, wonderful and attentive staff, great food and drinks, inviting atmosphere. It has the comfortable, welcoming neighborhood bar feel. Great place to go alone or with a group! Pool, darts, live music, events...“
“My experience at Perkins was a good one. Even though there seemed to be a lot going on in the work atmosphere, my server Alyshah did an excellent job, handling all the pressure of her job and making sure all of her guests at every table were efficiently taken care of. But specifically myself and the guests at my table, Ms. Alyshah went above and beyond for us. She is the reason why I would return to Perkins again and again. So my review is simply this, its worth the dine in experience, food is always good, and be sure to request Alyshah as a waitress. Thank you Perkins!“
“Food wasn't the best. I had the Pork Loin and it was dry and the side of Asparagus was great except their was only like 5 pieces. ? Drinks tasted decent but just like any other place and they were 15.00 dollars a drink. They made them very pretty and I believe that's what I paid for...“
“we went on Easter Sunday, it was very quiet, so the service was impeccable. we are British tra lingerie fir 3 weeks. we have stopped ans eaten in alot of different places and the grilled cheese sandwich here is the absolute bomb. gorgeous food and excellent service. highly recommended.“
“We went for dinner and this place is really great, Ethan was our waiter and he was so sweet and knowledgeable about the menu, I have celiacs and I get severally sick if I come in contact with anything gluten related and he honestly took the time and care to make sure I didn’t have anything that would make me sick. And not to mention the food here is delicious ?. Thank you Ethan for taking the time to understand and in helping me with this terrible disease and to not get sick, your amazing..Dietary restrictions: I have celiacs disease and this menu has gluten free options“
“First, skeeball. That's really all you need to know. But also - fun theme, great energy. The menu is perfect for playing games or watching games on the TVs. This wasn't our first time but it WAS our first time finding out they have tacos!!! If your little Street Fighter heart loves a basic b taco, get there. We normally get the frogger poppers bc bacon and jalapenos are life, but these tacos might be our new favorite. Say hi to Amber if you go on a day she's working the bar.“
“My husband and I were feeling pho one night and a google search led us in. Best decision we ever made. It is now my favorite restaurant hands down. We recently moved from the springs to Pueblo and every time we are in town we stop for dinner. I get the pho chin and wings combo. Best pho and best wings I’ve ever had. My husband has tried most things on the menu but his favorite is the jambalaya. The quality of ingredients makes all the difference. We also recently tried the new Cajun seafood and it was to die for. Amazing food and amazing staff! Always friendly.“
