The new Agave Taco Bar experience was so unfortunate it's hard to stomach, pardon the pun, but don't bother. In it's heyday one of the best on Old South Gaylord. No Cointreau , no Grand Marnier, no fresh squeezed limes, an awful Margherita. Rap music in the background. It's a sad story for sure.

We’ve been coming here for over 5 years and the staff was what made things amazing (and the margs). We were so sad to go the other day and see that Val and the crew were gone because of the owners tax evasion troubles. They were the best staff ever and the food and drinks are not the same. I would recommend against supporting Agave’s current owner (or Wash Park Grill for that matter)

If you're looking for a cozy, authentic taco bar with incredible food and drinks, Agave Taco Bar is an absolute must! From the moment you walk in, you're hit with the perfect mix of warmth and charm -- the place has such a quaint, welcoming vibe. It's the kind of spot you can easily settle into and feel right at home, with friendly staff and a laid-back atmosphere.

Let's talk about the drinks -- their spicy margarita is nothing short of amazing! It's the perfect balance of heat and flavor, with just the right amount of kick to make it exciting but not overwhelming. If you're a fan of spice, this margarita is a total game-changer! Plus, the bartender even offered to add more spice. Yes please!

But the true star of the show? The queso with chorizo. I'm honestly struggling to find the words for how good it is. It's otherworldly. The cheese is rich and creamy, and the chorizo adds such a bold, savory kick -- together, it's an unforgettable combination that pairs perfectly with the crispy tortilla chips. You'll find yourself dipping your fingers in it.

If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by. Whether you're there for a casual dinner or a fun night out with friends, you won't be disappointed. Can't wait to come back for more queso and margaritas!

TLDR: solid food, great happy hour and attentive wait staff. Always love the chicken quesadilla.

Only annoying thing is every time I’m in there Sean (I think he’s the manager - dude with a short beard) talks, and talks, and talks, and talks, and talks, and talks the entire time. - mostly to the wait staff about random stuff; nothing in particular. It’s clear it’s distracting the team from doing their job whether it’s bartending, waiting tables, cleaning or attending to patrons. Plus he’s loud so it’s just bad background noise.

Fun place with good tacos, got some nachos and margs on happy hour this last time. Servers paid attention and were friendly and fun. Margaritas were good and well priced for happy hour. Been here a few times and always had a good time.

Great tacos and margaritas! The Birria taco was so delicious and I loved that the seafood tacos come on squid ink infused tortillas! They have plenty of gluten free options and all the varieties of margaritas we tried were wonderful. Also loved the prices, it’s way more affordable than a lot of places in Denver! And the quality for the price, just can’t beat it

From the margs to the tacos to the staff, Agave is hard to top. Visited multiple times over the past few months and keep coming back for more. Never had a bad taco, the spicy marg is sooooo good, and if you're a Bills fan, make sure to let GM Sean know. ?

We love going for delicious street tacos on Taco Tuesday! Great location and small restaurant; seating inside and outside with “misters” outside to cool. Great service! Around the corner from the famous Gaylord street shopping blocks; close to Wash Park.

Parking: Its not that difficult if youre able to walk a block or two to find a spot on the residential streets around each block! And often shade-/ the parking is limited but people come and go constantly freeing up spaces .
