Bon Ami Reviews
There were three of us dining at Bon Ami Saturday, April 6th, and we arrived to find a close on-the-street parking spot at about 10 minutes before their 5pm opening time for a reservation, that was confirmed by email from Open Table on 4/5/24 at 9:18am, for three at 5pm. Over the last year we have eaten at Bon Ami more than a dozen times. The food is good! The wait staff is knowledgeable and friendly. However, on Wednesday, 4/3, I made a reservation, on Open Table, for Saturday, 4/6. The reservation was for 3 people and we requested a particular server. I received a confirmation. Bon Ami is a charming cafe that offers a diverse menu, primarily featuring a wide variety of crepes. The cozy, intimate atmosphere and secluded, old-world wood interior and lighted stone terrace create a pleasant, truly French country house inspired dining experience, especially for lunch or brunch. The patio is shaded, making it comfortable even on warm days. Customers appreciate the rich crepes and classic French dishes. The service is attentive, exceedingly pleasant, and welcoming. The food is divine and a decent value, with everything on the menu being delicious, including the highly recommended Salad Nicoise and beef Bourguignon, which many consider among the best dishes. The wine list is well-curated, replete with many regional French varietals, and very approachable, with a 1/2 price offer during happy hour on all bottles of wine. Bon Ami remains a popular choice for both dine-in and take-out, providing a delightful Parisian bistro experience that is worth the slightly higher prices. Reservations are recommended to ensure a spot.
