The food was good. this place is very cute for a date night. we went on valentines night though and they definitely overbooked. we felt extremely rushed and ended up feeling sick by the end of the night because we had to eat our food and drink our bottle of wine so fast. it is good food but our overall experience makes me not want to come back here.
We love Carmine's and have been going there often for years. Last night was an off night and it wasn't busy. The staff was lovely and friendly but our food was barely warm. We had sausage and peppers. The flavor was delicious but they were not hot. We had a pear salad that the lettuce was so brown it shouldn't have been served. The dressing is one of our fav's and it was salty. The rolls, also one of our fav's, were burned. We are rarely disappointed when...
The service was average. It was NYE so busier than usual, I suppose. But the food...bleh. The chicken parm tasted like it was cooked in old oil. The sauce was so nondescript, it kept me longing for Raos jarred sauce. The rolls were hard and dry. The cocktail and house salad were delish, tho. Definitely not worth the cost. Olive Garden has richer, tastier marinara.
