Service is solid and atmosphere is spacious and not over crowded. Cocktails were great. Food is in-line with current ratings — not a local phenomenon but lots of potential. At times, the dishes were over-simplified or diverged from traditions for the sake of uniqueness. That said, it is a delicious experience for Denver and I look forward to seeing how it evolves over time.Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free

The food was mostly good, but I felt severely ripped off for $70 per person at an Easter brunch. The buffet was very small, and was $40 per person on its own. The only notable standouts on the buffet are macaroons and lightly crab topped deviled eggs. Everything else was quite basic, breads and fruits, simple things. Interestingly, there is a buffet station with French ham, cheese, and bread. Croque madame is on the entree menu.... which is French ham, cheese, bread, topped with an egg. The entree is an additional $28. I thought it was odd to have an item on the buffet that is remarkably similar to an entree that carries quite an upcharge to add an egg on top and toast it for you. Almost everyone was loading up on macaroons... which are good... but not want I want out of a pricey brunch.I had a salmon, eggs, and toast entree. It was good... but I make nova lox bagels at home for about $15 for two people that has more salmon on it than this $28 single entree. The exact same quality of salmon can be purchased at the grocery. I cannot imagine Chez Maggy is smoking her own salmon in the back, and it's not better than the grocery if she is. But it was good...My wife got the French toast entree. It was one thick sliced piece of bread with cinnamon and sugar. ONE SLICE OF BREAD for $28!! I can get a good loaf of bread at the store for $5. So let's say Chez Maggy's bread is the best in the city at $3 a slice. Cinnamon, sugar, syrup... somehow costs $25. I hope it was imported from India, Brazil, and Canada that morning. But it was good...The moral of this story is not whether or not the food is good at this restaurant. For $175 for two people (automatic 20% tip ON A BUFFET), without alcohol, without additions to the menu, it had better be more than good! But it wasn't. The mini-quiche on the buffet was awful, a severe disappointment. The croissants, cold and hard. It was one of the top meals I have ever felt so ripped off on. I would never go back. I can get good food anywhere for about 10 times less than this. A ribeye with a salad and loaded baked potato costs less than a single slice of bread at this place. What!? It's not THAT good. Not even close! I have no idea what gives this place the right to charge what they do. Because it's in LoDo? Even the valet parking was charging more than what they said on their website. I have no idea why anyone eats here.

I visited Chez Maggy for my birthday the other evening. I originally planned to go somewhere else, but after everyone in my party had to cancel, I decided to go somewhere more intimate. I had a lovely server, Kayla, who made my evening absolutely perfect. I forgot how sad I was dining alone by the end of my meal as she was great company and so sweet! The escargot was incredible. I loved the mild flavor and the tenderness. The scallops were also cooked to perfection and had a nice citrus that complemented the carrot purée. I’m very happy I decided to try this restaurant. It’s unusual for me to choose a hotel restaurant, but I will be back!

Came here for restaurant week, and the food was good. Definitely missing that something extra, but it won't be a waste of your time

Was only at the hotel bar. It was pretty warm and I was walking back from the convention center, and frankly wanted a beer. They didn't have any tap options for whatever reason...no big deal. Switched to G&T and all was fineI like the shape of the bar and the corner views, although the current construction on 16th street isn't particularly visually appealing....

Service was outstanding, and overall not a bad place for a hotel restaurant. The Boston lettuce salad was good, like a unique twist on Caesar. I inquired about the small crunchy bits and was told it was salt and pepper, but I'm not convinced and it was too dark to examine well. I ordered the filet cooked medium, and it was served fully rare - the meat still tasted good but it was very underdone (hopefully tomorrow isn't ruined). Peppery sauce added a nice kick to it. The frites are fried in clarified butter instead of oil, which gave them a magnificent flavor and I ate way more of them than I intended to.

Dined here twice now. Never disappoints. I have enjoyed all the entrees and the mains I have tried so far. Duck Breast a l'orange was delicious albeit being slightly over. Creme brulee was

I have never been treated so disrespectfully. We were there for 2 and a half hours because we were constantly ignored all while those around us were being attended to. They would pick up plates right next to us and not even look at us with plates needing to be picked up. It took them 20 minutes to acknowledge us after being seated. I would never ever go there again and I suggest you stay away from there. We spent $250 on that meal and the treatment was outrageous watching people come in and go out all while we're still waiting to be noticed. It was wild

Did some research before coming here and am disappointed/regretful to have spent time here.Food took over 70 minutes to come out. Seemed as though the server forgot about us and there was food being brought to us we never ordered and had to turn away.Onion Soup was unpleasantly salty and flavor was absent; “bad batch” as server said.Trout was soaking in overpowering oil. More reminiscent of a drip pan than a dinner plate.Escargots were excellent paired with the fresh baguette.Pork Chops were great but a bit cold. Not sure how long food was waiting to come out.The wine kept us company for the majority of the service. Be sure to read your receipts before paying because we had food on our bill to pay for we never ordered. The most sour part of this experience was seeing guests sit after us and leave with a full service before we even got our food. Failure for the front of the house. We went to Cheesecake Factory for dessert around the corner instead because we didn’t want to wait another 30-45 minutes.

Went during restaurant week 2024, had the trout and butternut squash soup, the trout is AMAZING! The almandine on there is so flavorful and has depth! 100% would suggest the trout!Ruby at the reception was so kind and helpful! Always making sure we were accommodated!Don’t recommend the endive salad, BUT only because I don’t like blue cheese specially StiltonDrinks: The Rue Spritz is delicious, sweet, abs bubbly! The Limonde was super good, not too sweet but a nice palate cleanser with the meal. French martini was so super good, balanced and fruity.

I was very disappointed in the food. For my main I had the coq au vin, and it was just very blah--bland and boring. It seemed to need a bit of a zip or zing. The endive salad was beautifully presented, but again, rather bland in taste, and even the creme brulee was bland. I had been wanting to go here for some time, but a real let down. One more thing. Why did we have to pay a 3% surcharge to the...hotel!!!!???? Not going back.
