Husband and wife owners, wife does the sweets and husband does the bread. I get a huge crusty round loaf that bigger than my head for $12. Nice thick crust. You can noisily tap your fingernail on and it toasts up delightfully. I can’t speak for the sweets because I haven’t tried them. But the bread is delicious. If it was sourdough, it would be perfect. I am from San Francisco originally and I’m always on the hunt for a delicious crusty, chewy bread.
We are from Colorado Springs and stayed in Littleton over the weekend for the Classic Car Show. I was looking for a good bread store on the web and came across the Denver Bread Company. We made the 30 min drive and were not disappointed. Old world charm of the bakeries I remember from my childhood. Staff were super friendly and explained all the different breads they had. We ended up buying 2 loaves along with some choc chip cookies. Because I had done my research ahead of time....
We just moved to Denver, and seeing an article on the Internet about the best bread in Denver, I decided to visit. But after reading the reviews, I was deeply disappointed. Seems like the company went down the dumps over the years because the reviews are worse and worse as time goes by. So no, thank you.
