Luca Reviews
This is my favorite restaurant! The food has a sensuous and complex flavor profile while also being rustic Italian. You will not find a better pomodoro sauce anywhere unless your grandma is from Italy and has a long held family recipe. The pasta is hand made and has a perfect texture and amazing flavor with the sauce. The house made buratta is the freshest, creamiest and thickest you’ll enjoy outside of select NYC restaurants that are famous for making their own mozzarella,...read full review
Paid the $40 for the reservation to go with my friend who had been raving about this place for years. The host almost had an aneurysm when we walked in without a mask...even though there are no more mask mandates as 90% of Colorado is vaccinated...but, ok. Then, we had to show our vax cards. Luca is a restaurant that offers a range of delicious dishes, including carpaccio, grilled halibut, Burrata, duck pasta, and bolognese. The menu also features sweet and salty Butterscotch Panna Cotta and crispy fried artichokes. The service is attentive and top-notch, with knowledgeable waitstaff. The space gives old-school Italian with just the right touch of elegance. Luca is a great spot to enjoy a meal, with appetizers being the best Italian apps. The Chef's Tasting Menu is a great way to try a variety of dishes and the portions are generous. Cocktails and dessert are strong as well. The restaurant has a welcoming atmosphere that feels spacious yet intimate, making it a favorite spot for many visitors. The food and service consistently impress guests, and the ambiance creates a lovely setting for special occasions. Despite some recent negative reviews about the veal saltimbocca being tough and the service feeling rushed, overall, the experience remains positive. Many guests highlight the fantastic pizza and unique dishes like the spin on chicken parm and manicotti, which are considered top in class. The restaurant continues to be regarded as one of the best in Denver, offering a memorable dining experience with good wine and attentive service.
