I am trying to make sense of an average rating below 4.6 here: I think any time you do something innovative and experiment, someone's not gonna love it. Several of the schmears and bagels are a stretch out from the typical, but I found so far That they've all paid off brilliantly. Plum Jam was creative and interesting, and I would get it again. Whitefish and Salmon Roe were great. I didn't find the bagel dry-er than a typical bagel? Nothing in this neighborhood is cheap, so I can't hold price against em.

I've been really excited to try this place out and find more bagels in Denver that match up with the ones I grew up with.
The line was out the door when I went, and I grabbed a sandwich with the furikake bagel and a half dozen bagels. About a 30 minute wait all set and done.
The cream cheese on my sandwich felt like it was still partially frozen, and the bagel was thin, hard, and cold. I was extremely disappointment and sad that it didn't really come anywhere close to my expectations. The bagel was pretty difficult to chew through. I checked my half dozen bagels, and the plain and everything bagels felt okay, but my rosemary, sesame, and furikake bagels were hard as a rock. I wish I noticed sooner when I was in the shop, but those bagels really should not have been sold. You could tell right away by toucing it or cutting into it that the texture was not right at all.

Excellent bagel, coming from NY. Price was eye popping but it is without doubt a high quality bagel
Decent bagel, line was super long and price was out of pocket! We won't be back. They have tarnished the good Odell name here in Denver. Long love the beer.

Not of lot of seating, but whatever it is what it is. Got a plain bagel with scallion cream cheese. Is incredibly tasty. Very crunchy bagel with chewy interior. Maybe I should have gotten the lox or the pastrami lox some time? But worth adding to the list.

i LOVE this place -- the open kitchen is so cool and you can watch the magic happen while you wait for your bagel.
get the open face sandwiches 100% so yummy. I've tried the lox, nova lox, and the plum jam. The lox are to die for - i haven't had a bad time yet. An awesome neighborhood spot just get there early so you don't have too long of a line!!

Probably one of the best lox bagel sandwiches I’ve ever had and I am from New York! Will definitely be back.

They’re so inefficient in making orders that it took 30 mins to get a mediocre bagel.

Everything bagel with cream cheese was great. Coffee was great, but I got a challah to take home and it was raw in the middle. :( so close, and tough to see them put out something like that.

I got a lox cream cheese bagel…and the bagel was so stale/hard that I ended up throwing it away. This place is expensive and not worth it imo — I paid $8 for my order and the open faced bagel sandwiches were up to $20…for mid bagels. You’re better off using store bought bagels from the grocery store honestly

As former New Yorkers, we have been waiting for a decent bagel place to open, and this place definitely rings my bell! Today was our third time here, and it was the first time we were actually able to get their house made lox options! Those usually sell out because they’re so popular. We got the nova lox on everything and pastrami lox on furikake, which is a fun take on everything with a little seaweed seasoning. We also got two rosemary bagels to go. Previously, we had the lox cream cheese bagel, bacon egg & cheese sandwich, and whitefish. Everything has been fresh and delicious. The owner is usually there working on things and it’s cool to watch him work. The atmosphere is busy yet relaxed at the same time. As some reviews noted, these bagels may be a bit “hard” compared to what folks here are used to… because real bagels should have a bit of a “chew,” not just feel like bread with a hole in it. And yes, it can be a bit pricey, but again, for the quality and authenticity, I feel like it’s worth it.
