I had not eaten at Rioja in several years and wanted to return, so I booked a table for mine and my husband‘s anniversary dinner. The food was incredible! We loved everything we ordered: celery soup , brassica salad, artichoke tortellini, duck and barramundi! Everything was very flavorful, and we thought quite reasonably priced! We also enjoyed the Cava and the Tempernillo that our waitress, Kelsey recommended! My only small complaint was that there was nothing special for our anniversary, which I did note when I made the reservation. A complementary glass of cava or a small dessert would have been a nice touch . Other than that, a very memorable meal!
To Brooke, Rich, and the entire team at Rioja, This evening will forever remain one of the most meaningful memories of our lives. From the very first messages, Brooke and Rich went above and beyond to help bring something deeply personal and unforgettable to life. Every detail, every thoughtful touch, and every moment of warmth made it clear that this wasn't just another dinner. It was our moment, made perfect through genuine care and artistry. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for making this dream a reality.
Amazing food and great ambiance for a Saturday night. Artichoke tortellinis are a must try
Servers were great, Barramundi was outstanding, fig dessert was great. Thanks for always providing a great dining experience.
I have been going to Rioja for years and it never lets me down always a great meal and magnificent wait staff
Food and service was excellent-as usual. We sat outside since it was a beautiful evening. A great evening overall
Britton our server was outstanding. The food was excellent. I'm sad that there's no GF pasta available.
We went to Rioja to celebrate our wedding anniversary and I checked the "annivsary" box when making the Open Table reservation. After our server stopped by and spoke with us, she brought us glasses of sparkling wine on the house. We had a loverly meal and afterward she brought us tiny ice cream cones and a card signed by everyone that was working that night. It was a very nice gesture by the restaurant. I would definitely go back!
Our server Justin was very patient and knowledgeable. I will be returning in request that I have him as a server again!
Fabulous food. Expertly prepared. Caveat: If you ask for extra olives in your martini, you will be charged $1 for each olive. Plus the drink is $20 Plus 5% of the bill goes for paycheck to employees (don't mind that, but just read the fine print. )
Restaurantji Recommends
Absolutely wonderful. Not only was the food AMAZING, the ambiance luxurious, our server not only gave great service, she also had great suggestions of what to order. We went pre-theater and the server was also very attentive and conscientious about time!! We loved it and will be back!
It's been years since I'd been there but it was just as amazing as I remembered. Food was excellent and our waiter was very knowledgeable and nice guy. I'd recommend it
I'm usually there after lunch. The crowd is light, the food is excellent.

Why would you list a Colorado lamb burger and mix the lamb burger with pork meat??? Then just don’t list it as lamb!!! Very inappropriate and shame to the chef!
