A great new find. As an Italian East Coast transplant, it's been a challenge to find great Italian restaurants. Look no further as Vogera is now our go-to for great Italian food.

Food was really mediocre. Branzino was very fishy. The fennel salad was just huge chunks of fennel. The lasagna wasn’t tomato sauce based which was surprising. The bathrooms were strangely disjointed from the restaurant and very dated. Overall, I won’t be returning.

Voghera Ristorante & Apericena is the only place in Denver where my husband & I can reexperience the kind of dining we enjoyed—no, loved—throughout northern Italy, in Milan and in the Piemonte wine region last year. Once again, last night we thoroughly appreciated the menu choices (many more choices than other restaurants offer during Denver Restaurant Week), the presentation of our selections, the amount of food provided in each course (more than ample), the timing (appropriate brief pauses between courses to digest, enjoy our wine, and anticipate the next course), the professional service provided by our server, the food runner/presenter (the owner with his energetic demeanor and Italian accent!), and prompt clearing of used items by a third person. Where else in Denver, at this price point, does your server bring an arranged tray of silverware to your table to replace any you have used or to provide you with the correct knife for your main course? We were thrilled with our wine choice—an Arneis from Piemonte—that complemented our meal selections perfectly. If you have traveled to places where food is treated with respect, you know the joy of experiencing the terroir of the area you are in. We feel this is what owner Marco & his team are providing to us in Denver. I would like to suggest that people who choose to come to this restaurant try to adopt an attitude of dining & savoring rather than just eating & drinking. Four at a table in our lovely back dining room were loud and raucous as would be appropriate in a sports bar but not in this setting. Their behavior affected the dining experiences of everyone else in the room. If you allow a dining experience here to transport you to northern Italy, you will feel the price is more than worth it.

Went to Voghera for Denver Restaurant Week. The food was excellent, drinks equally so. The service was slow, especially at the beginning of the meal and it took a long time to get our meal ordered, but overall still a pleasant experience.

First time visit to Voghera during 2024 Denver Restaurant Week. As expected the restaurant was busy but not overly so. The decor was somewhat eclectic but a very comfortable and unique environment. Our waiter turned out to be the owner (Marco Albertin - a native of Voghera, Italy -hence the name). Marco is a delight and skillful restautateur. Needless to say our service was impeccable. Marco introduced us to Carlo, also native Italia, so we are anxious to have him as our next waiter. The bruschetta and capesante in abbraccio di speck (appetizers) were delicious. The tagliatelle alla bolognese, linquine ai gruitti di mare and branzino allo zafferno were also delicious, even though I wish the bolognese and linguine had a bit more sauce. The staff are all authentically good people and seem to enjoy what they do are for whom they work. All in all this is a place to which we will definitely return as we would love to explore the complete menu and taste the lemoncello/orangecello when they make it. Even though the parking is a bit sparce, a trip to Voghera Ristorante & Apericena will not disappoint. Bon appitito!

We have visited this restaurant a few times now and I've not been disappointed with the quality of food. Service is normally very good, we did have dinner during restaurant week so the service was lacking, understandably. Great food, perfect ambiance, and good service.

Came here for restaurant week 3/2/2024. Walking in, the atomphere was intimate and very appropriate for a date night. Unfortunately, that was the highlight of our visit. The menu looked promising for restaurant week. We placed our orders, and we waited a significant amount of time to receive our food. When the apps finally arrived, we were surprised of the quantity because the menu didn't specify how little you would get. We ordered the scallops and polenta squares, which only came with two pieces. The salads were nothing special, and the main dishes were very lack luster. I ordered the lamp chops and they were the size of your finger. The bolognese came out warm and lacked flavor. The dessert was good but nothing special. I would be forgiving of the small quantity of food if the flavor compensated, but it fell short. The food was overpriced and not worth it for what you get. I'm not trying to bash this restaurant by any means. I'm just sharing my experience during restaurant week.

It's probably because it was restaurant week but the service was below par. It was slow. The price for the food that we got in quantity was poor. For example you only get two scallops on the scallop appetizer and two small squares of the polenta for that appetizer. The lamb chops were absolutely tiny like below the size you get at the grocery store. I don't think this restaurant was ready for the influx of customers for restaurant week. Needs to be better prepared for the future.

Came to Voghera for the first time during Denver Restaurant Week. Everything was delicious and authentic (bruschetta, scallops, mista salad, bolognese, panna cotta). The service was impeccable. Every time we finished a dish, someone came to clear it immediately and when the water ran low, they filled it up without hesitation. Will definitely be back again.
