The Roost offers a mix of experiences. Some found the atmosphere warm and welcoming, with excellent service from friendly staff and a pleasant, engaging server. The restaurant is very dark in both color and lighting, giving it a small, dingy appearance, but the food and service more than make up for this. The Baked Cod, chicken carbonara, and prime rib french dip were favorites, with the prime rib receiving high praise for its delicious flavor. The crab snowball was one of the best crab cakes some had ever had, and the BBQ Bacon Burger and White Chocolate Creme Brulee Crepes were standout dishes. While the calamari was bland for some, the overall experience and food quality more than compensated. The restaurant also offers a refreshing price point and accommodates complex dietary needs with helpful suggestions. The food was more than delicious. Service was rare and genuine hospitality was offered. The staff was friendly. The food was tasty. The Prime Rib was delicious and tender. The cod was delicious. The mashed potatoes were good.
