“Wow....what a place....the look of the place inside and out is a bit underwhelming......but don't let that discourage you.TRY SOMETHING NEW!The food was so good! The 3 of us got the middle priced "sample" platter....I don't know what any of it was but boy was it good!It had some lentil stuff...goat, chicken....and other things! “Great food, Great staff, always professional, and always happy to serve you. Prices are fair, place is up to date. Not once was there a frown on the face of a customer thank you. Update: It was a hard thing for me to leave such a great place. 10 years above this cafe and other then cosmically the Service, owners, Tess & Management put their everything in this Gem on E/ Colfax.. Please people I'm not an employee or family I'm like you. Customer who loves the Africana Cafe. Not just for the food but for the atmosphere and the employees come visit you will not be disappointed. ??“
“First time having Ethiopian and it was amazing! I could probably eat 20 of their sambusas and the lamb in my dish was so tender. My husband is a spice fiend and he said his dish was the perfect balance of spiciness and flavor. My kids were unimpressed with the offerings but that's on us to broaden their culinary horizons better. Anyway. Staff was very kind to us, I was out of my element so their hospitality was much appreciated. Food was filling and so tasty and I definitely see us returning in the future. Thanks!!“
“Konjo has amazing, healthy Ethiopian food that is served up very quickly. I crave it weekly and it's consistently delicious. Their vegetarian /vegan options are the best, and the misir wot is perfectly spiced. Portions are large & we always order extra for leftovers. They give good amounts of injera as well. So glad they are in Edgewater Public Market.“
