Was a great idea for a birthday dinner everyone loved the range of vegetarian dishes and the bread was delicious and very light to digest . Highly recommend giving this place a go if you like myself haven’t eaten Ethiopian regularly . A great time to try new food and support the local community kitchens that make Sydney road a special place to be in :)“

“Very nice relaxed and classy atmosphere. The authentic ethiopian food is great and very filling. I have heard the weekend night time vibes can be alot of fun, will return and report back.

“Cafe Mera is truly a hidden gem. Coming from Miami coffee culture, I can say the coffee here was rich, smooth, and absolutely delightful. The food was just as impressive. We ordered the breakfast burrito and the breakfast sandwich, and both were so flavorful and delicious that we left with no leftovers.

The prices are very reasonable, the service was 5-star, and the whole experience felt warm and welcoming from start to finish. It was such a pleasure meeting Yeshi and being able to try the food she made from scratch. You can really taste the care and quality in everything.

The owner/chef/server (I’m unfortunately blanking on her name) completely made the night. She was warm, hilarious, and incredibly welcoming, somehow running the entire restaurant while still joking with us and making every table feel taken care of. You can tell she genuinely loves what she does, and that energy carries through the whole experience.

There isn't a ton of parking in the lot for the little strip mall, but we found a spot with no problem. “The food was delicious. I over ate because I couldn't stop eating, that's how yummy it was. The woman who helped me was very nice. I went around 1pm on a Thursday and I was able to find parking on the side street.

“The food is very good; several items are very spicy. I appreciate the menu structure that allows you to build your own veg sampler with as many items as you want. The fosolia green beans are easily the best dish. The atkilt wok was very flavorful and the yemisir wot was good and a little peppery. The whole lentils were ok, slightly bland but a good texture. We didn't enjoy the kik alicha or gomen, and the tibes wot was dry. Salad is very spicy (garlic and jalapeno). Service was friendly and attentive.“
